RDR AKA GTA with cowboys

Red Dead Redemption is the spiritual successor to Rockstar San Diego's 2004 effort Red Dead Revolver. It's 1908 and you find yourself playing as John Marston in a large open world just waiting for you to ride in on horseback and stir up trouble. Technically you don't even need to ride in on horseback, you could easily ride in a wagon. Try not to die from dysentery though. As is customary with any sandbox game, you are free to abandon the main story at any point and dive into various side quests. For example, you may spend the day hunting the local wildlife and retire to the local tavern for a game or two of cards with the locals before reaching the natural conclusion of a duel at high noon once it's been established that someone has been fiddiling the deck. Just be careful what you do in the Old West because this generations hot button, morality, rears it's ugly head and is tracking every move you make.

Up to 16 players can take part in a slew of multiplayer modes; Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, three variations of CTF and Freefroam. Players can progress and level up as they play, earning new skins, horses and weapons. There are also numerous challenges to complete and if succesfull, you might just unlock a golden weapon.

  John marston's "deadly assassin" outfit causes your dead eye meter to regenerate at twice the speed. With more dead eye, you have more time to place each shot with total accuracy, making you the deadliest gunslinger in any fight.

  There are countless horses to be found in the massive world of red dead redemption, but none is stronger, faster or tougher than the exclusive war horse. Whether storming gang hideouts, exploring the wilderness for hidden treasure, or outrunning the law, the war horse gives gunslingers an advantage in nearly every situation.
  
  
• The Golden Guns Weapon Pack
  
  The player who wields the exclusive golden guns receives more fame for each kill. The more fame you get, the more in-game side missions become available. So there will be more opportunities to duel, more kidnapped townsfolk to rescue and you can bribe lawmen for less.

Cannot wait for this, I've been sick of sandbox games for a while now, but I think that might actually rekindle my enjoyment for the style. Hopefully there's enough variety in missions etc. that'll keep it fun for a while.
