As great as the TV show is, the books are far better in my opinion.

One day I am sure I will.

But watching the events of the show will affect me a lot more than reading them ever would. I wouldn't have had as big a reaction to the last episode, to the Red Wedding, or to Ned's death if I knew that stuff was coming before hand.

I still remember reading Ned's death. It was like 5 in the morning, and when I read he had been beheaded I was absolutely stunned. I looked at the book and realized there was still a quarter of it left to go and was like "What the fuck? What's this other one more quarter for?!"
