90s Serie A was the best. When mid-table (and sometimes lower) Fiorentina could have a player like Gabriel Batistuta playing for them. And the noise. And the colour. And James Richardson on Channel 4.

Channel 4 Serie A was great. GOOOOALLLLLAAZZZIOOOOOO

A lesser-known fact: the honour of being the first English club to field a side with no English players belongs to Liverpool (basically they were all Scottish :shifty:).

Must've been some Irish players in there? Even if one of them was Ray Houghton. :shifty:

Nope. Liverpool's very first match in 1892 (against Rotherham) featured an entirely Scottish team. Although this wasn't really a competitive match, they did the same thing a couple of months later when they beat Fleetwood Rovers in the league with an all-Scottish team.

I am aware that this is even more historical than even Liverpool like to go when they talk about history. :P

Celtic have had their safe standing approved and will have them from 2016-17 onwards. Ace.

Out of nowhere, Guus Hiddink is set to announce his stepping down as Holland manager today or tomorrow, with Danny Blind taking over.
