I didn't think it was much of a twist. It seemed pretty predictable. Shyamalan needs a new schtick.

It's all fun and games until Fat Amy accidentally crashes MechaCowell and the Bellas split up, having to "find themselves" before reuniting with a glorious rendition of "Cups", entrapping Mothra under the metaphorical cup like so many bugs caught under literal cups before him.
