Again, I'm not chastising you. I get that. As time has gone on and streaming has become more prominent, I find myself in a position where I don't have to pirate things because streaming is everywhere for a fee. Before that happened, I had no choice but to pirate for the same reasons.

That still doesn't justify it, though.

It has not been a good year for film-watching for me. I am so far behind.

Someone recommend me some stuff from this year that is good. Here is a list of stuff that I have seen: http://letterboxd.com/walker/list/films-ive-seen-2013/

This is stuff already on my radar: http://letterboxd.com/walker/list/films-to-watch-2013/, but if any of those are "must-watch" let me know and I'll make them priority.

See, I don't feel that bad for pirating the odd film. I pay a monthly fee to Cineworld to see as many films as I want, I pay for a BFI & Prince Charles membership, so I'm constantly contributing to the film industry. I also have access to a uni library which has like 4,000 films in - so I don't really see the difference between me getting the DVD out or having it on my PC, because I could go and get that film if I wanted. I also watch a load for educational purposes for my course.

But yeah, when I become super famous and all that jazz please don't pirate my films :shifty:

Gravity, Kings Of Summer and Spring Breakers are excellent. You need to watch those pronto, I'm pretty sure they're all still in my top ten films of this year so far.

Eh, Spring Breakers is okay. I'd say watch it because it's polarised opinion, but I was kind of in the middle.

A Hijacking, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Alan Partridge, Gimme The Loot, To The Wonder, In The House, The Act of Killing & Before Midnight are all well worth watching. A mix of foreign films, documentary and drama there if you're interested.

Oh God, I feel like I'm going to hate it so much when I watch this.

The small shot of Michael K Williams has ensured I will watch this, though.

holy shit.

Emilia Clarke, Margot Robbie and Brie Larsen (!) have tested, or will test, for the role of Sarah Conner in the new Terminator. Tom Hardy eyed for John Conner.

Holy shit, this could shape up to be pretty great. I was pretty skeptical before but after seeing Thor 2, I'm sold on Alan Taylor handling this. He's definitely no McG.
