United Front Games shut down abruptly. They're the studio behind Sleeping Dogs. They were working on an "online gang warfare" game that was in Early Access on Steam and just recently had a Steam free weekend, and just yesterday they were interviewed about the game and its development. Seems bizarre, such a sudden shutdown.

The Pokémon demo, the World of FF Demo, RDR2 news, and FM 2017 beta all apparently dropping today/yesterday. I don't have time for all this in one go, gaming industry. Don't make me choose!

My guess is that they had the free weekend to maybe hope a burst in sales to stay a float but they didn't do as well as they hoped.

Eek, not so big on platformers. I might watch someone play it on stream and see if it looks like my type of game.

Tough choice. I'd go with Fallout purely because of how much play time you would get out of it, but I think Doom is so much more fun. It does not fuck about.

That's what worries me, like I think it's a pretty full-on FPS and I'm not really great at FPS. At the same time I often get bored walking around massive worlds.
