A later revision was closer to the story we all know and love in the final release, but reduced Joel's Firefly massacre at the end to a cutscene in which he and Marlene stand off in the operating room: Joel holding a surgeon in a headlock with a gun to his head, while Marlene takes aim at Joel. Ellie lies unconscious on the operating table in the middle.

Incredibly - and unbeknownst to much of the Naughty Dog staff - Druckmann and company recorded an astounding musical version of this where Marlene and Joel sing their lines. This delightful rendition was played before the crowd to much applause (including a fair amount of standing ovations). Let's hope this gets released to the public sometime soon. If it is, you can bet I'll post it.

For various reasons, I've only just now finished this game - fantastic. But wow, that ended abruptly.

I bought the season pass on release. Any DLC out yet?

Just multiplayer stuff. There is story DLC sometime in the first part of next year. I hope once the cloud thing gets going on PS4 I can play this again

Started playing it last night and played some more today. Enjoying it but getting out of the city is so so so dark that I can't see a thing and flicking the torch on of course causes problems, so I just ran around, got shot up and got a certain distance on pure luck and trial and error. That was poopy. I guess I'll have to turn up the brightness before next time.

To be honest, dying in the dark is the most common cause of death probably, because that's where a lot of the enemies like to hide. If you're on Normal difficulty or below, just abuse your listening ability to know when to use the torch.

The hardest part of that jump to Survivor difficulty was no more listening mode

Weirdly, I didn't miss it after the second section, I tended to use it out of habit, but generally you can get a vague idea of enemy presence by the actual sound.

I was going to save my fourth play of this for some time next year, but damnit Hammy, now I'm itching

I'm only in my second playthrough but I've kinda become disillusioned during winter. But then I can never hack repetition with movies or the sort.

Spending ages trying to find where to go in the old stately home while constantly trying to stay out of reach of the clickers. I'm so frustrated in my directional ineptitude.

I think it's supposed to be PS3 exclusive, as it's an add-on for the core Last of Us game, isn't it?
