I'd rather we got Huntelaar as he, from what I read, would be considerably cheaper. Although he's probably too old for FSG. <_<

We've also been linked to Edinson Cavani via his agent in Uruguayan newspapers! :w00t:

408k, and this was from March 2010? Surely he's had a couple of pay rises since then, can't stop laughing at the £24 fine from the FA though.

Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert given one-match touchline ban

Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert has been given a one-match touchline ban after admitting a Football Association improper conduct charge.

Lambert has also been given an £8,000 fine for comments made after the 5-0 defeat at Manchester City on Saturday.

Lambert criticises 'weak' officials

He was angered by the decision to award the penalty against Andreas Weimann that led to City going 2-0 ahead.

Lambert will have to watch from the stands when his side take on Arsenal at Villa Park on Saturday.

The FA charge related to "language and/or behaviour amounting to improper conduct".

After the game, Lambert said: "I haven't a clue what [assistant referee Adrian Holmes] saw. We were well in the game - we had a foothold in it, and that is a big thing coming here but the penalty was a really shocking decision."

What a load of shit. 8k fine because the lino was bought.

But really, what was that 24 quid fine actually for?

A yellow card apparently

Weirdly the fees barely change wherever you are in the footie pyramid, so pub players get similar. We spent most of the Swansea game last week hoping their left back wouldn't get booked, he's only on £300 a week apparently.

You cannot speak against referees in any way, shape or form. If they make a mistake, they are not to be held accountable for it. Ludicrous policy.
