Ruthless Aggression: January 2014
TEW 2013 Mod

Current Version: BETA 0.9
(Next release will be STABLE 1.0)
Download:

After starting this project a year ago to this date, I’m reaching completion. I have just put up the links to the very latest (and last) BETA version of the mod. In a few weeks, I should have what I need to finish done and I will put up the first stable release.
Here is a list of the promotions that are included:

All of the above promotions are completed included rosters, events, championships, title histories and more.
Inactive/Future Promotions:
- Apache Pro Wrestling (Japan)
- AWA Superstars of Wrestling (USA)
- Deep South Wrestling (USA)
- Exodus Wrestling Alliance (USA)

All of the above promotions have their titles set to debut with the companies. In the case of potential returning companies like XWF and SMW, they have their title histories with them.
Defunct Promotions:
- World Championship Wrestling
Work In Progress:
Employment History:
- I am nearly complete with the WCW alumni, and will be moving on to ECW and other defunct promotions after that. Since this is really just a cosmetic sort of thing, it takes a back seat but will be addressed in future updates.
Promotions:
Championship Wrestling From Florida (NWA Florida)
Extreme Canadian Championship Wrestling
Full Impact Pro
NWA:UK Hammerlock
World Wrestling Council
Notes:
- I took a few liberties with the NWA Alliance. Canadian Wrestling Federation, though not yet officially an NWA member would morph into NWA: Quebec by the end of the year so I have them set up a bit early.
- The same thing can be said about The CyberSpace Wrestling Federation, which became NWA: CyberSpace later in the year. In their case it was practically a done deal by the time the game starts as they already had a working relationship with TNA.
- You will notice most of the NWA members do not have NWA in front of their names (TNA for instance is in as Total Nonstop Action Wrestling instead of NWA Total Nonstop Action). This is purely for cosmetic reasons, as companies can leave or be dropped from an alliance in game and it doesn’t make much sense for them to be carrying NWA call letters if thats the case. A notable exception is NWA Wildside who really don’t have an alternative name unless I put them in as “Wildside Wrestling.”
A few relationships you may want to remove: Vince McMahon and Sting have a Simmering Tension relationship as to keep WWE from signing Sting. The same can be said for Bill Goldberg and Brock Lesnar who both have simmering tensions with Vince to get them to leave within the three month period they did in real life. Simply delete these relationships before a game if you don’t want them applied.
- Everyone in game should have a worker image. I have used a filler image that shows a black outline of a person against the background for anyone I could not find a decent image of. If anybody notices this and finds a picture of a worker I am missing, please post it in this thread and I’ll add the photo to the pack.
- Lastly, if you play this, please report any mistakes or bugs in this thread so I can fix them. Suggestions are welcome as well. :)

So, I'm far enough along on this that I think it's pretty much going to be released now as I won't quit on it since I have so many hours into it. I've been working on a January 2004 mod for TEW 2013 as it stands right now, 100% completed are:

Promotions:

East Coast Wrestling Association: Roster, Titles, Lineages

NWA Total Nonstop Action: Roster, Titles, Lineages, Events, TV, Teams, Stables

Ohio Valley Wrestling: Roster, Titles, Lineages, Events, Teams, Stables

Pro Pain Pro Wrestling: Roster, Titles, Lineages, Events

World Wrestling Entertainment: Roster, Titles, Lineages, Events, TV Shows, Teams, Stables

I am very comfortable in creating the US and Canada Indie scene at the time as the EWR scenario and old results I've found are a big help. However, I know virtually NOTHING about the Japan and International scene at all. So basically I'm asking, is there anyone who knows the International Scene for the following regions enough to help out?

  • Great Britain/UK
  • Europe
  • Japan
  • Puerto Rico
  • Mexico

If you are, let me know. It would be ideal if you could create a database that I'd be able to import into my master copy. So for instance in your database you would create Japan with the different promotions, titles, and Japanese workers and I could import them into my database. Would anyone be interested in helping out?

I can't really help out too much, but for rosters you could use WrestlingData.com to get a good base for whichever promotion you are interested in adding. For stats, Anderz had a 2004 mod out that was in beta phase. I'm not sure if it's still uploaded anywhere, but it would be a start.

So I've simmed to the last week of July 2006 (From January 2004) to check and see how the promotions that are finished are doing. Pretty pleased so far:

Prince Nana def. Bryan Danielson
Mike Kruel def. Scoot Andrews
Matt Martel (Striker) def. Ace Darling
Johnny Maxx def. Rob Eckos
Prince Nana def. Mike Kruel
Matt Martel def. Johnny Maxx
Prince Nana def. Matt Martel to win the tournament
ECWA Super 8 2005 Winner: Bryan Danielson
Scoot Andrews def. Matt Martel
Billy Bax def. Mike Kruel
Bryan Danielson def. Danny Inferno
Prince Nana def. Mr. Ooh La La
Billy Bax def. Scoot Andrews
Bryan Danielson def. Prince Nana
Bryan Danielson def. Billy Bax to win the tournament
ECWA Super 8 2006 Winner: Bryan Danielson
Matt Martel def. Prince Nana
Scoot Andrews def. Mike Kruel
Bryan Danielson def. Mr. Ooh La La
Cheetah Master def. Danny Inferno
Matt Martel def. Scoot Andrews
Bryan Danielson def. Cheetah Master
Bryan Danielson def. Matt Martel to win the tournament
Title Changes:
The ECWA Heavyweight title changed hands twice with Matt Martel managing 15 defences before dropping it back to Mike Kruel in July 2006. The Mid-Atlantic title changed hands twice as Japanese Pool Boy defeated Prince Nana and managed 8 defences before dropping it to Danny Inferno in September 2005. Inferno has managed 6 defences. The tag titles have only changed hands once as Glen Osbourne and Cheetah Master ended the two year reigns of the Valedictorians in March 2006 and have defended the belts 9 times.
Their roster is mostly the same, though they've signed Dorian Deville, Headhunter B, and have brought Ricky Steamboat in as a road agent. Alumni includes Barry Casino, Boogie Woogie Brown, Carlton P. Hightower, Joey Maxx, Mega, Thunder, Tyler Payne, and Trinity who were cut shortly after the start of the game and Ace Darling, Christopher Daniels, and The Amazing Red who have moved on to bigger promotions.
Top Matches:
1. Matt Martel def. Bryan Danielson (Night of the Unusual Matches 2006) 79
2. Bryan Danielson def. Matt Martel (Super 8 2006) 75
3. Matt Martel def. Bryan Danielson (Last Resort 2006) 74
Ohio Valley Wrestling
The official developmental organization of the WWF is without any workers on developmental deal at the moment. Their top stars of the promotion are Venus who has become a singles comptitor since Nick Dinsmore (who she had managed) was called up to the main roster, Mike Mondo, Da Beast (Shad Gaspard), Rain and Ariel.
Title Changes:
The OVW Heavyweight Title has seen its share of turmoil as the last three men under WWF deals to hold it were all called up (or back) to the main roster while champion and thus vacated the strap (Nick Dinsmore, Big Boss Man, and Carly Colon). Joey Matthews won the vacant strap in March 2005 and defended the title 9 times before dropping it to Da Beast who has managed 17 defences so far. The Southern Tag Titles suffered a similar fate as the teams of Aaron Stevens & Nova, Brent Albright & Chris Masters, Bane & Joey Matthews, and Jerome Crony & Chris Cage were all split due to call ups forcing the titles vacant. Da Beast is a double champion in OVW as he holds the Southern Tag Titles with Robbie Dawber.
Aaron Stevens, Bobby Lashley, Brent Albright, Carly Colon, Chris Cage, Chris Masters, Horshu, John Hennigan, Johnny Jeter, Kenzo Suzuki, Kevin Fertig, Lisa Moretti, Mark Magnus, Matt Cappotelli, Melina, Mickie James, Nick Dinsmore, Nikita Fink, Nova, The Big Boss Man, Sean O'Haire, Tank Toland, Tomko, and Tommy Dreamer are all alumni thanks to call ups by the WWF. Allison Danger, Beth Phoenix, Boris Alexiev, Cheerleader Melissa, Jillian Hall, Joey Matthews, Mark Bell, Mike Bell, Nurse Lulu, and Synn have all been and gone on PPA deals.
Top Matches:
1. Nick Dinsmore Def. Nova (Xtreme Overdose Jan 2004) 60
2. Carly Colon def. Joey Mathews (Xtreme Overdose Jan 2005) 55
3. Nick Dinsmore def. Carly Colon (OVW TV Jan 2005) 55
World Wrestling Entertainment:
By June 2006 the WWE has called up the entirety of its OVW Developmental roster. The Main Event consists of Brock Lesnar, Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Edge, Goldberg, John Cena, Kurt Angle, Scott Steiner, The Big Show and The Undertaker on the Smackdown Brand and Batista, Booker T, Chris Jericho, Kane, Matt Hardy, Randy Orton, Rene Dupree, Rob Van Dam, Shawn Michaels and Triple H on Raw.
Christopher Daniels, Disco Inferno, Juventud Guerrera, Konnan, Psicosis, Ray Gonzalez, and Simon Diamond have found regular gigs in the WWE while Goldust, Justin Credible, Road Dogg, and X-Pac have all made their way back to the company.
Title Changes:
Road Dogg in particular has had a pretty good run, ending Randy Orton's year long reign as Interconinental Champion and holding the title 8 months before dropping it to Rene Dupree.
Raw's World Heavyweight Title had a strong champion in Triple H who held the title 16 months before it came to an end at the hands of his now former protege Batista. Batista got a year long reign as the face of Raw before Triple H secured the strap again in May 2006.
Molly Holly had a 15 month reign as Women's Champion before dropping the belt to Alexis Laree who held the belt just shy of a year before Trish took the strap.
The World Tag Team titles have found a secure home around the waist of Rene Dupree who is currently a double champion on the Raw brand and Sylvain Grenier who have had the straps since March 2005 when they ended the four month reign of The Hurricane and Rosey.
Smackdown's top championship, the WWE Heavyweight Title is held by John Cena who is in his first reign as champion after ending Scott Steiner's 2 month reign in December 2005. Steiner ended the 14 month reign of The Undertaker who beat Brock Lesnar in June 2004.
Rey Mysterio is the United States Champion, just celebrating a year as champion after ending the two month reign of Zach Gowen who shockingly toppled The Big Show and ended his 15 month reign.
Speaking of Mysterio his year long reign as Cruiserweight Champion was ended in February of 2005 by Shannon Moore. Moore only held the title to May before dropping it to Nunzio. Nunzio reigned over the Cruiserweight Division and entire year before Moore won the title back in June 2006.
The WWE Tag Team Championship has been resting on the waists of The World's Greatest Tag Team who very well may be just that as they approach a two year long reign as champions. Before that, the APA beat The Basham Brothers for the straps in February of 04 and held them until July when Ron Simmons was released from his contract.
Royal Rumble Winners:
2004: Chris Benoit
2005: Scott Steiner
2006: Shawn Michaels
In addition to Simmons, Bob Holly, Ivory, Pat Patterson, Terri Runnels and Tim White have made their ways out of the company since the start of 2004.
Top Matches:
1. Chris Benoit def. Brock Lesnar (Smackdown Jan 2005) 100
2. Eddie Guerrero def. Brock Lesnar (Smackdown July 2006) 100
3. Chris Benoit def. Brock Lesnar (Smackdown Jan 2004)
Pro Pain Pro Wrestling
The 3PW roster is barely noticeable from the start of the game, though oddly enough everyone on the roster seems to fit. Aaron Aguilera, Arik Cannon, Disco Machine, Human Tornado, Justice Pain, Niles Young, Roadkill, Ruckus, Steve Bradlet, Ted DiBiase Jr, The Neighborhoodie, and Wifebeater are all additions to the roster.
Title Changes:
3PW's sole title, the 3PW Heavyweight Championship has changed hands a number of times. AJ Styles wrestled the title from Raven in October 2004 to cut his title reign just shy of the year mark. In December Styles vacated the title. Xavier would become the new champion in February of 2005 and would manage 9 defenses before dropping to Arik Cannon in December. He won the title back in July of 2006 after Cannon defended it 6 times.
Former champions AJ Styles, "Pitbull" Gary Wolfe, and Raven have all left the company as have Gran Apolo, Joey Matthews, Kid Kash, Low-Ki, Nick Berk, Ricky Vega, Rob Eckos, Terry Funk, The Sandman and Tod Gordon.
Top Matches:
1. Raven def. AJ Styles (Uprising 2004) 81
2. Kid Kash def. Low-Ki (Standing Room Only 2004) 81
3. AJ Styles def. Raven (Doomsday 2004)
Ring of Honor
ROH have added Eric Young, Evan Karagias, Ruckus, and Stefano to their roster since the game started. Their top five workers consist of Bryan Danielson, Samoa Joe, Colt Cabana, Alex Shelley, and Jimmy Rave.
At the start of the game they purged their massive roster and released the majority of the Special K stable as Dixie, Deranged, Hijinx, Izzy, and Hydro (Jay Lethal) were let go, as well as The Christopher Street Connection's Ariel, Buff E and Mace. Since 2004, Ace Steel, AJ Styles, Allison Danger, Chris Sabin, Christopher Daniels, CM Punk, Diablo Santiago, Don Juan, Fast Eddie, Guillotine LeGrande, Homicide, Hernandez, Jack Evans, Jerry Lynn, Johnny Kashmere, Justin Credible, Marcos, Michael Shane, Nigel McGuinness, Raven, Sluk Wagner Brown, Steve Corino, The Amazing Red, Tony DeVito and Trent Acid have passed through ROH.
Title Changes:
Samoa Joe has dominated the ROH title scene. His first reign amassed 15 defenses before being put on hold by Michael Shane in July 2005. Six months later Joe regained the strap and has defended the belt 6 times since.
The ROH Pure Title was first claimed by Field of Honor winner Matt Stryker in January 2004 before he lost it on his one year anniversary as champion to underdog Jose Maximo. Jose only held the title a month before Tony Mamaluke took claim and held it 13 months. Mark Briscoe is the current champion having won the belt in March 2006.
The ROH Tag Titles bounced to the team of Jimmy Jacobs and Alex Shelley as they upset The Briscoe Brothers in February of 2004. They held the title a year before dropping them back to The Briscoes. Jose Maximo and Evan Karagias took the straps in November 2004 before dropping them to Matt Stryker and Joey Matthews in March 2006.
Top Matches:
1. Bryan Danielson def. Matt Stryker (Weekend of Thunder Night One 2005) 93
2. Bryan Danielson def Colt Cabana (Reborn Stage 2 2005) 91
3. Bryan Danielson def. Colt Cabana and Michael Shane (All-Star Extravaganza 2005) 91
NWA Total Nonstop Action
The number two promotion in the US has a "Top Stars" lineup of Sting, Jeff Hardy, D'Lo Brown, Sonny Siaki and Jeff Jarrett. Hardy was a massive signing for them, in addition to other roster additions such as Ace Darling, Ace Steel, Adam Flash, Beth Phoenix, Buff Bagwell, Cheerleader Melissa, Chris Candido, Kanyon, Flash Flanagan, Glamour Boy Shane, Michael Modest, Nick Berk, Shane Ballard, Steve Corino, Takako Inoue, and Trent Acis.
Title Changes:
The NWA Heavyweight Title has had it's share of champions. In February 2004 Ron Killings claimed his second NWA title by ending Jeff Jarrett's reign. The Truth held the title until May when he dropped the stap to Sting. Sting then got involved in a high profile feud with Buff Bagwell who won the strap in July of '04. In September he dropped it to TNA's breakout star Sonny Siaki. Siaki held the belt until January 2005 when Jeff Jarrett reclaimed the top spot in the company. Raven then achieved his "destiny," ending Jeff's reign in March. D'Lo Brown then laid claim to the title in May of 2005. He dropped the strap to former partner AJ Styles in August. In November Sting picked up his third reign before dropping the title to D'Lo Brown three months later. Siaki is the current champion having defeated D'Lo in May of 2006.
The X-Division has been passed around 13 times. Chris Candido is the current champion having defeated Elix Skipper in November of 2005. Skipper, Kid Kash, and Jerry Lynn have bounced the title around with each other since april 2004 after Lynn beat "Cowboy" James Storm who had a two month reign after he defeated Michael Shane.
The tag team titles have bounced around a lot too as The Samoan connection of Sonny Siaki and Ekmo took the straps from 3LK as Konnan and BG James were set to depart for the WWE. They held the titles until May 2004 when AMW picked up another reign. It only lasted a month before CM Punk and Ace Steel beat them for the straps. A month later AMW won them back.Don Harris has proved that he doesn't need his brother around to find tag team success as the head of TNA Security has won the belts with Chris Candido twice and Trent Acid once. Chris Harris and James Storm picked up another reign, and Harris even formed a short lived championship team with Elix Skipper (holding the titles from February to October 2005.) AMW are the current champions, in their 7th reign after defeating Don Harris and Trent Acid in June 2006.
They continue to run weekly PPVs in addition to 12 monthly Supercard PPVs. They also have a late night TV Show dubbed Controversy TV every Saturday.
Armando Quintero, BG James, Christopher Daniels, Glenn Gilbertti, Goldylocks, Joe E. Legend, Konnan, Lacey, Mercedes Martinez, Shane Douglas, Simon Diamond, The Sandman and Trinity have all passed through the company.
Top Matches:
1. Jeff Jarrett def. Sting (NWA:TNA on PPV 76) 99
2. Sting def. Jeff Jarrett (NWA:TNA on PPV 97) 95
3. Sting def. Jeff Jarrett (NWA:TNA Gangland 2004) 90

WWE has lost Velocity and Heat while NWA:TNA gained a show in Controvery TV.
WWE and TNA are the only companies (of the ones finished) to have PPV deals

Thank you iDOL! I was seriously getting bored with TEW due to the lack of real world mods being made. There was a flurry made in December/January, but things have stagnated as of late. I'm going to check this out shortly, and I'll be sure to pass along any thing I notice in the way of problems.

Just curious why you chose January as opposed to something like April or March right after or before Wrestlemania?

Mostly because I personally wanted to play the Holly/Lesnar feud. Plus it is the perfect time to build toward mania and change reality.

The roster doesn't change much in WWE in that time. You could easily just change champions and change the starting month if you want to play after WM which is what I'll do.

Maybe its because January is the start of the year while Wrestlemania is only relevant to one promotion. Mods don't have to be centered around the WWE.

There's no difference in two months for any independent promotion, and yes, real life mods should be centered around the WWE, considering that's what over half the people that download it play with.

But I respect starting it in January for building up to Wrestlemania.

January is definitively a good starting point, especially for the Holly/Lesnar fued. It's always good starting at January as like iDOL said, you have the chance to change reality and take different turns in the road to Wrestlemania. This is probably the mod that I want to play the most
