The Resistance Sign Ups

The Resistance is a Mafia style game for five to ten players (I've never played with more than five, though, so I will be capping sign ups at five: if I get more, I will either select people I like best to play or run multiple games). The players are members of a resistance organisation that is trying to bring down a corrupt government. However, government spies have infiltrated their organisation. If the resistance is to be successful, they must root out the spies and ensure they are unable to sabotage their missions.

I'll explain the rules in more detail once the game begins, but for now I will simply summarise the main ways in which The Resistance is not like Mafia:

- No Lynching: Players are not eliminated as the game proceeds. So there's no chance you'll be killed off on night one and not get to play the game.

- No Lurking: Every player is involved in the decision making in every turn. Even if a player avoids talking in the thread, they have to make actions that reveal information about them.

- No Lurching: By which I mean lurching about in the dark waiting for a cop result or for a scum to turn up dead. Every action taken in the game gives away small amounts of information for the town to analyse and act upon.

The small number of players, plus the fact there's another game going on at the same time, plus plus the fact that everyone plays the game from start to finish, means I'll request that people not sign up if they don't intend to play and I will be vigilant about replacing people.

So. Who wants in?

Well as usual, I am too impatient to wait and too soft hearted to tell anyone they can't play, so I'll start a game with the first five. If enough people sign up I will start a second game for the remaining players, otherwise they will be the first reserve replacements for this game.

I'm hijacking the thread for my own nefarious ends. Having recently played a few games of this and loving it, I wanted to run one here and since Overload has already done two smaller games, I thought I'd have a crack at trying one of the bigger games. The Resistance allows up to ten players in a game, but I'll run it with anywhere between five and ten if that's all I can get.
