Is there some easier way to gain money. It takes me about a week to save up for each new building :/

I've been lucky with money, when you unlock the greyhound track you can gamble to get some big pay-outs, plus I've got the jackpot on the Itchy and Scratchy scratchcards a couple of times.

Other than the only way to make money relatively quickly is to grind through it using 60 minute tasks.

I need like 150k more for the new Ranier Wolfcastle building. Plus another 80k for the new waterfront store. :/

I need about 35-40k for two different stores and then need to build boardwalk sections to complete something there that shall ring in about another 49k...this sucks building money without spending extra cash to get further.

Sorry Hitman and Matt. Didn't realize I had new invites. Just accepted both of you. Hitman's city is kind of crazy looking compared to the rest A lot of you do the whole Mega City One style pack as many buildings into a small space as you can. Wouldn't want to be your townsfolk.

I just finished the Comic Shop and almost have enough for the church. I want Rainer Wolfcastle but that is a long ways away

I re-modelled my city yesterday to make a housing district and a business district, although the buildings I use most often (Simpsons House, Brown Houses, Flanders House, Kwik-E-Mart and Gulp-N-Blow) are still right in the centre.

I've just build the Squidport which annoyingly is just by itself in the corner. At least I got the Sea Captain.

I'm guessing that as far as voice acting goes they've only chosen to pay the big six (Castellanata, Kavner, Cartwright, Smith, Shearer, Azaria) which explains why characters like Milhouse don't make any noise.

I'll check if I can add you Hitman when I get home, I may be full of friends though after going on to the Tapped Out board to get more.

Just got the chance to build Springfield Downs and Squidport at the same time. I'm not made of money game!

I went nuts and spent 6.99 on buying donuts, got Hans Moleman, Kearney and Squeaky-Voiced Teen from it. Just started building Nelson's house but my Squidport progress is getting very slow. I suppose it's good that you can't just buy everything straight away, it makes the game a lot longer.
