Come on, Guided By Voices aren't that good. <_<

Who am I kidding, they are.

Still not putting them on my list, though. Looking over it again, I am actually pretty satisfied with it, although I do want to fit Todd Terje and Ian Pooley in there but that would mean bumping off someone which I can't bring myself to do.

Ugh. I really hate "Hold On Hope." It's schmaltzy and so not GBV-ish (Bob Pollard even excluded it from their greatest hits album). I'll take "Echos Myron" or "Bulldog Skin" or holy crap "Cut-Out Witch" or "My Valuable Hunting Knife" or (from what's probably their most approachable album, Earthquake Glue) "Useless Inventions" or pretty much anything over "Hold On Hope." It's kind of sad to me that a band who did so much great, innovative music is probably best known for a syrup-drenched ballad.

Guided By Voices are fucking great, and I need to listen to them more.

Also, holy shit, did I not vote for The Kinks? Who can I get rid of for The Kinks? Oh fuck. Now I'm a mess.

Also, I already knew KONG was fucking cool, but Mulatu Astatke? Fuck yes.

This thread makes me wish I was still half as musically adventurous as I used to be.

I was gonna point out Mulatu Astatke too. So awesome.
