If Rodriguez is going anywhere it's for Bale money and nothing less. He's 22 and is completely stealing the show at the World Cup. He has 4 years left on a huge deal and it's not as if he's at a small club. Monaco are only going to get better and they're in the Champions League next year too.

This is it, the way they were talking yesterday on the telly about 'you would imagine big clubs would be circling' made it sound like he's literally just come from nowhere and plays for Hull or someone. He's at one of the richest clubs in the world and will be playing Champions League football along with another international team mate next season. Whilst living in Monaco and earning a fortune tax free.

Silly Colly, there is no football outside of the Premiership and the Champions League Quarter Finals.

I know right, Champions League winners within the last decade.

Falcao, Rodriguez, Moutinho, Toulalan, Kondogbia, noted Colombian FM beast David Ospina.

They're basically Colchester with yachts...

Yeah but Monaco is a load of bollocks. They aren't a proper team.

As opposed to the circling big clubs like Man City and Chelsea?
I suspect he's referring to things like Monaco failing to draw even a 9,000 average attendance (second-lowest in Ligue 1) despite having a stadium with a capacity more than twice that size.

Whatever other clubs use money to do well, none so far (with the exception of Anzhi) have been such a blatant anomaly as Monaco.
