These are the projected pots for the draw which takes place on the 6th December. Confirmation of the pots and the format of the draw will be announced some time next week.

So, who do you think will win the tournament? I've had a strong feeling for Argentina for a while now, if not them then maybe Uruguay. I really don't fancy Spain this time or any of the Europeans for that matter, and I don't see Brazil doing too well either.

As for England, I'll be happy if we get out of our group and don't lose on penalties.

Can't see Uruguay winning after needing playoffs to qualify.

I'm gonna say Brazil's team looks a lot better than it has in recent years, and in front of their own crowd, think they'll do it.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Belgium reach the semis too.

Switzerland, Iran, Algeria, England - Will be the best possible draw.

Germany, USA, France, England - Will be more along the lines of the group drawn, I'm sure, knowing our luck.

Always got to fancy the Brazilians, especially on home turf but that can work against you.

I've got a feeling Holland may finally pull it out of the bag, Belguim dark horses.

Really excited about this World Cup, always adds something special to the Summer.

Germany.

I don't know that the US will get out of the Group Stage because this is a very strong field (yes I know how that sounds, but seriously the 'shit' teams this go are actually pretty damned good) and the few teams I'd be comfortable with, we can't be drawn with.

With these pots, our best case is Switzerland/Algeria/and one of either Boz-Her or Greece. That being your best case scenario, doesn't exactly make you optimistic.

I know everyone is on Belgium .... but I see Colombia and Russia as surprise teams.

I hope Belgium do well, and I always love following Holland, which I'll do next summer.

As for the winners, aside from Brazil and Argentina, I think Spain and Germany are in with a shot.

If I had to pick one now, I'd say Argentina.

I reckon you should treat Baddarina to a trip to Holland next summer, then send her shopping as we watch a game and have a few beers.

ABE!

I'd go with Germany. Spain probably won't win again but I can see them going far, Belgium too. Brazil would be nice I suppose but I will go for ze germans this time.

I'm hoping Argentina finally do it, though I've long since felt that it'll never happen in my lifetime. They're always just a step behind.

It's probably going to be the three usual suspects, though, in Spain, Germany or Brazil. Belgium are dark horses, but I can certainly see them reaching the semis.

There's quite a few teams who could realistically win it (Spain, Brazil, Holland, Argentina etc.) but I've got a feeling 2014 will be Germany's year. I really wouldn't be surprised to see Belgium do really well though, they've got a really good team and an excellent recent international record

Three people have been killed in an accident at a Sao Paulo stadium that is due to host the opening ceremony of the 2014 World Cup football.
A senior local fire official said crews were called to the Arena Corinthians after reports of a collapsed crane. The crane fells on to the stadium, destroying parts of the stands.
The arena was due to be completed at the end of December to meet a Fifa deadline. Brazil has admitted it is struggling to have all 12 venues ready.
