I'm looking forward to the Ski Cross and the Snowboard Cross, the sight of four people plummeting down a hill in a race with jumps and the expectation of collisions is so much fun to watch.

Looks like more people are going through crowdtilt - there's no way to tell if any of them are "official" aside from a guy from the original team getting involved with the crowdtilt. Haven't seen any word from someone on the team, or from Jamaica Olympics.

The Jamaican bobsleigh team missed training on the Sochi Olympic track today after their luggage was lost en-route from the United States to Russia. Jamaican pilot Winston Watts told BBC Sport: "It's really frustrating. We have just got all the funding together and have arrived at the Olympics but then this happens."

Gizmodo's got a pretty interesting piece up on the spending going into construction of the Olympic Village.

Of note is the fact that the cost of the entire Vancouver games wouldn't even cover the $8.7 billion road being built just to connect venues in Sochi. Holy shit.

Oh, and one journalist in the Omega hotel complex had to refuse a colleague's request to stay a night in the second twin bed because … well, there's no easy way to say this, but when the first journalist arrived, someone had left an indeterminate amount of semen on the sheets of the second bed, and those sheets had been taken away for cleaning, and hadn't come back.
