The last of arguably the most influential punk band ever. One of the bands I grew up with so this is a real downer for me. Not the most artistic band but their songs were catchy as fuck and just fun to listen to.

RIP Tommy, you will be missed.

It is a shame, Tommy was the original drummer before Ritchie. He played on their best albums (all the early stuff), and continued working with them for years after.

Sad to see him go with Joey, Johnny, and Dee Dee all passing away. That leaves CJ (who sings most of the song posted by Octobero) and Ritchie.

Yeah, and actually i think I got Marky and Ritchie confused. I don't think Ritchie was that big of a component compared to CJ and Marky.

Double post is ok...that was a great article. That wasn't an article on how important The Ramones were, or something from a music historian on what they meant to rock music. That was an article from a fan written with a love for the band
