It scared the piss out of me, but the pixel hunt bullshit after the initial "OH HOLY FUCK FUCK THIS SHIT FUCK" scare just completely soured me on that game. I really, really loved its atmosphere and it could be an incredible game when it comes out—and there's shit I didn't even know about it up until the other day

like the creepy creature/dude on the upper floor you only see after wandering through the door, like, fifteen times

—but as a game it just completely lost its steam for me and the frustrating bullshit just completely outweighed all the horrible greatness that was the incredible atmosphere. It is probably one of the scariest/most tense/most unnerving things I've ever experienced, but trying to trigger the next thing to open the door fucking succccccksssssss. And yes, having played some more Shovel Knight over the past few days, I can confidently say that Shovel Knight was robbed.

Bemused over the inclusion of a cricket game in EWB's Game of the Year for 2014 list, the board's American contingent sought revenge. However, their plan to infiltrate the 2015 list proved to be a failure when a lack of cohesion left them confused on just which one of their many inane and only popular in their own country sports to back.
