MLB: The Show 15

Yeah, I try not to carry more than 11 pitchers, but a lot of teams carry 12. 5 starters, 1 long relief/spot starter, 2 middle relief (try for one lefty, one righty), 2 set-up/occasional closer (again I try for a righty and lefty), and 1 closer.

For fielding I always have a back-up catcher, a corner infielder (can play first and third), a utility guy that can play at least second and short stop, at least one back up outfielder, and my fifth guy is usually a run-specialist; someone who can't hit but is fast and can pinch-run in the late innings. If he is good defensively and can play multiple positions, that's a huge bonus in case we go to extra innings.

I'm beginning to wonder what stats I need for my pitches to not go all over the place. Beyond the 5th inning regardless of how many pitches I've thrown, all the rules change. 4SFB doesn't rise at all, slider either refuses to break or goes from one side of the plate to the other, and the change becomes more of a 12-6 Curve.

That said, racked up my second CG despite giving up my first earned run. Also committed an error because I can never remember which is third and which is first. Although my catcher could have run a few more steps to grab that ground ball, thank him very much. :shifty:

So after going 8-1 to start the season Dynamic Difficulty caught up with me and now I'm 10-5. Bugger.

Also, I've traded so much that the Angels are barely recognisable. So what I'm saying is I'll probay start my forever franchise sooner rather than later instead of just spamming trade after trade.

Also, after 15 games Trout still doesn't have an HR. Pants.

That's the one I've been using and it is doing the job for me. At this point I probably won't change once Knights roster comes out because I've decided in committed now. And it's fun as hell.

Started as the Diamondbacks and lost the first game to the Giants 5-2. Bumgarner shut me down all game but I worked his pitch count hard. He finally gets pulled at the end of the seventh and I'm down by one. A walk and a blast later and were two one up going into the ninth. Then my relievers shit the bed and gave up four runs.

Second game they got a run in the first but I replied with three of my own then we both went scoreless the rest of the game. It was still fun as hell though. I've also figured out if you guess the correct pitch and location the reticle locks in which is bloody fantastic and is making the game all the more fun.

I still went trade happy but I did it before the first game is it feels more like an off season rebuild than it does my just being trigger happy. No absurd trades and i saved about seven million or so plus made the team at least a little bit better.

Now to not finish bottom of the league! (And to make the most of the first pick in the draft!)

I'd be interested, although I'd possibly be the only UK member and times would be a ballache.

I'm UK based as well but unfortunately The Show leagues don't get much traction due to number of games, length of games, the lag on pitching (haven't tried online this year yet, is there still that horrible stall just before the pitch hits the zone?). I'd enjoy doing a league but I dont I could manage it.
