So there's nothing like Fall Out 4 to remind me how much I suck at first person shooters and stealth attacks. I played for hours today, died more times than hours I played and finally gave up when I realized there were way too many floors when it came to rescuing Detective Valentine. Maybe I'm just not ready for it in terms of level and such. I think next time I play I'm going to go back out and do some other quests before going back to Diamond City.

Tomorrow will be another day of gaming and I'm thinking that I'm going to start playing through the Uncharted series. It's not FPS so I think I'll enjoy it more. I do plan to come back to Fall Out 4 though as I love the story.

Damn those sly bastards bringing out DLC and ruining my '100%' rating on games...

At least I got the AC Syndicate Jack the Ripper DLC and the Lego Marvel Avengers DLC on sale at the weekend, paying something like £10.70 for the lot. The Lego levels were ridiculously short/easy - even for Lego! - and so dealt with in about half an hour (back up to an 'S' rating, wooo).

Just started the Jack the Ripper missions last night. The whole thing feels pretty intense and grim... It's all designed for those who have beaten the game (full of Lv11 enemies and so on) so will prove a challenge at least. Exhausting yet satisfying, hopefully.

Meanwhile I dip into WWE 2K16 online to do as many matches as I can stand before online opponents piss me off to the point of hating everything (Don't just hit one finisher and pin, you twat! We BOTH could get triple points from having a match that's slightly longer with more finishers/entertainment/high quality rating!).........so my sessions last for only three matches, typically. <_<

Still, three shit matches is usually enough to advance me maybe 0.5 to 0.8 of a ranking level. Only 15 more levels to go...

Is it just me or is the original Uncharted quite short? I played it today for the first time and only played it about 3 hours and according to the save file, I'm already 35% through the game. Been picking up the collectibles on the way. Hopefully I haven't missed any. I got to the part where I'm searching for Elena, and I just got to her parachute hanging off the building.

Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition

Status: trophy_platinum.png

Had a great time playing this again (played the standard when it first came out) and none of the trophies were a massive effort other than needing cash for the final one which meant I had to do a lot of cock fighting. This is also the first game I've got Platinum that's not a telltale game, because I'm not as intense as the rest of you :P I still need to do the two expansions to get 100% as there's 5 trophies for each of those, but it looks like they'll just be a couple of hours each.

Sleeping Dogs is one of only four games for which I have a Platinum Trophy. Until I got one for Metal Gear Solid 3, all my Platinums were for games beginning with "Sl", with Sly Cooper and Sly 2 rounding off the bunch.

Don't you have to play through the game something daft like 8 times to be able to get everything for that?

Anyway, because I like posting cool pictures...

Sleeping Dogs: Nightmare in North Point

100% Progress: 5/5

Quite short but a load of fun. A lot of games have an arbitrary "look, here are zombies" type DLC but this one was a little more interesting, since the supernatural stuff all came from Chinese mythology. a fair bit of the story portion tied into the main game too which was nice. Now I shall move on to Year of the Snake and finish up with this game fully.

You're thinking of Metal Gear Solid 4. Metal Gear Solid 3 is fairly straightforward, other than getting all the kerotans, which involves a horribly frustrating section right near the end of the game. I actually wanted to do it to unlock the stealth camouflage, but I ended up doing all the other Platinum requirements too.

So you're on about chapter nine, yeah? I'd say the second "half" is longer, but yeah, they're not particularly long games, but they're good to re-play on higher difficulties.

Might be around that. I'll have to double check on the weekend as that will be the next time I have a chance to play. I'm only playing through on easy at the moment because I want to story but it definitely is one that I can feel myself going back to harder difficulties to try for more trophies.

Saints Row IV: Re-Elected
Status: COMPLETED
Achievements: 70/70
Achievement Points: 1200/1200

This was one fun ride! Not an amazing or brilliant game but just old school fun with a great soundtrack and humor.
Last achievement to unlock? Fourth and Forty: Spend over 40 hours in the Simulation. I had to just let my Xbox run while I was asleep to finish this game up.
Isn't that just great?

Contemplating whether to download Canis Canem Edit on PS4 (which I had on PS2 somewhere but never finished, so I suppose would still count as 'completing my collection'...). Then again what I *don't* want is for it to just sit there as another bunch of trophies I'm never going to get all of (like all the Metal Gear Solid 2/3 ones from the HD Collection, which taunt me endlessly due to my not-being-good-enough-at-those-games).

Damn it, trophies. Why have you now complicated every gaming-related whimsy that crosses my way? In the old days I'd have just wasted the money immediately and not thought twice about it!

...Wait a minute, that somehow sounds like it's a good thing. :shifty:

Nightmare in North Point: 5/5

Year of the Snake: 5/5

Finally done absolutely everything, the 'Year of the Snake' expansion was a lot less exciting than the North point one which was a shame, it was a nice idea for a story but in reality it was just a series of 'cop jobs' with minor story developments sprinkled in via text messages in between. Oh and the side missions sucked. No joke on nothing, one of them was "there is a guy peeing in the street, go and arrest him." Time for something else now anyway! :D

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Status: Incomplete

Yes, this will be my biggest challenge to date. Death March will be fucked up and I just hope I don't miss one of those damned missable achievements.
But I think I'm in for a huge story and epic game. While playing through this I will attempt to complete some Telltale games and Naruto/Sleeping Dogs.
Just so I don't get worn out by this. Anyone else had any luck with the Witcher?

So I was not at Chapter 9 yet when I started playing Uncharted: Drake's Fortune today. I think I was only one like 6. I am now on Chapter 12 and my save says that I am 63% complete which isn't bad for a couple of days playing. Unfortunately since I've put so much time into Assassin's Creed, this will be the first of the 5 games I need to beat before I can buy a new one. :( Good thing there isn't much out that I really really want although I'd like to take a chance on some games that have been mentioned here that I know nothing about.

Dragon Age: Inquisition
100% Progress: 46 of 55

Spoiler

Hit Lv15 yesterday, and have basically cleared out Hinterlands, Fallow Mire, Storm Coast, Forbidden Oasis, Crestwood and The Western Approach barring dragons and a few currently inaccessible areas. "Here Lies The Abyss" is suggested level 12-15, but since I'm on nightmare I might just do one more level up in the Exalted Plains and get my Champion specialty before I jump in there.

One thing I am noticing on this playthrough - there's really not enough main plot in DAI. There's a LOT of filler quests that make the Inquisition stronger, and whilst it's still somewhat fun, it doesn't feel like I'm changing the world like the other two do.

Also, I romanced Dorian and got a scene with his bum.

The Wolf Among Us
100% Progress: 7 of 36

Spoiler

Because DAI is basically a slog to get two main story trophies (and my current goal is to get at least eight trophies a week so I can get my ratio up to one a day), I busted out TWAU which I have completed on PC but bought as part of a Telltale games pack when I wanted to play GoT and TFTB. Completed Episode 1 last night, it's weird how your knowledge of later stuff affects what options you choose, like not mentioning anything about Faith being a working girl to a certain other character because of information you find later.

Grand Theft Auto III
100% Progress: 10 of 29

Spoiler

Forgot to mention this the other week (which is also when I got the trophies), bought the GTA PS2 trilogy the other week and started GTA3. Done everything needed for 100% on Portland except the last Mafia mission, two RC car missions, import/export (will probably do post-game), some hidden packages, Patriot Playground, the rampages and stunt jumps. Want to make sure they're all done before moving on to the next island as I don't want to have to do the others whilst dealing with mafia members shooting at me.

Dragon Age: Inquisition
100% Progress: 46 of 55

Spoiler

Hit level 16 last night but cannot find the last bloody champion for his heraldry for the life of me. Think I'm going to have to use a map because I want my darn Champion specialisation so I can tank like a git so that I can do a respec of my Inquisitor. Also might try switching out Cassandra in favour of a second mage as she's becoming a little bit of a liability lately, and I suspect that Vivienne's Knight Enchanter abilities to keep up her barrier might be more useful than Cass' abilities which basically just take up the same role I do but AI is weaker at it.
