I played Fallout 3, and I sucked. I found I had to defeat enemies that were far too strong straight away with barely any ammo.

I hope this isn't like that.

Would not be surprised to see this optimized using one of AMD's upcoming cards or nVidia's new 980ti (aka Budget Titan).

The minimum probably won't be that bad, though. I recall New Vegas running quite well on a jalopy of a laptop I had.

I've never played Fallout. Are the Fallouts like that Skyrim game in that they look good and like there is lots to do but it quickly turns out that all you actually spend the game doing is fetching jewellery from caves?

Actually in Fallout, people come out of the caves to try to take the jewelry from you.
