The prospect of relegation didn't scare Remy off QPR, he'd go to Villa if the money's right.

Supposedly Remy is on £80k or £90k at the moment. How much money do Villa have?

Patrick Bamford has ended his loan at Crystal Palace after racking up fewer than 300 minutes in the first half of the season. Ideally he will spend the second half of the season at another Premier League club who are sufficiently in need of a striker to play him.

I can think of one club...but he's young and didn't cost a huge amount of money, so it'll never happen.

Norwich have offered Inter Milan 10m euros (£7.3m) for their Italy international central defender Andrea Ranocchia.

It is understood Norwich have offered Ranocchia a salary in the region of 3m euros per year.

The 27-year-old, who has won 20 caps for Italy, has played over 120 times for Inter and was captain last season.

But he has been relegated to the bench in the current campaign, in which Inter lead the Serie A table going into 2016.

Inter's depth of defenders means they are likely to allow Ranocchia to leave but the centre-half, who made his Inter debut in 2011, is thought to be be undecided about the move.

I hope we buy no-one and sell Fazio and Townsend.

I'd be content with this - though if we got the right person through the door just to support Kane - like we did with Saha a few seasons back - I wouldn't complain.

Isco should've went to Man City when he left Malaga. He's such a talented player and he's wasted at Real Madrid.

Should've stayed at Malaga. :(

Basel midfielder Mohamed Elneny has passed a medical ahead of his proposed €10m (£7.3m) move to Arsenal, although the Egypt international must still be granted a work permit for the transfer to be completed.

The 23-year-old, who moved to Switzerland in 2013 from Egyptian side Al Mokawloon, had already agreed personal terms for his move to the Emirates as cover for the injured Francis Coquelin and Santi Cazorla.

The only stumbling block which now remains is for Elneny to be granted a work permit, which is complicated by the fact that Egypt have slipped outside of the top 50 in Fifa’s rankings having failed to qualify for any of the last three editions of the Africa Cup of Nations. Under new regulations introduced by the Football Associations at the end of last season, non-EEA (European Economic Area) players have to meet a minimum percentage of international matches played for their country over the previous 24 month period, as long as they are in the top 50.

Egypt’s current position of 57 does not meet those requirements, meaning that Arsenal are likely to face an appeal. But with Elneny having featured in every single competitive match for the Pharaohs over the past two years, they are expected to be granted special dispensation to sign him.

A versatile central midfielder who can play in the holding role and also in a more advanced position, Elneny has scored two goals in 16 league appearances for Basel so far this season.

Asked on Wednesday whether a deal was close, manager Arsène Wenger said: “You know more than me. Sadly we cannot announce anything at the moment. Nothing has been concluded.”
