EWB's Favorite TV Show 2016: The Voting Thread

And we're back! Last year, Daredevil came out of nowhere to win the title in its very first year of eligibility, an unprecedented feat! Can it defend the crown with the power of like a million randomly-appearing ninja, or will another show, be they a former champ like Game of Thrones, some new hotness superhero show, or something else altogether pull off the win? Only your ballots can truly say! Let's get this show on the road.

THE RULES:

1. You will be fielding a list of your top fifteen shows of the year. Voting, of course, goes like so; list the shows from 1 to 15, the show you listed at 1 gets fifteen points, the show you listed at 2 gets fourteen points, and so on. That being said, if you didn't watch fifteen TV shows (or fifteen TV shows you actually liked enough to vote for) feel free to just leave the rest of your ballot blank once you run out. That is totally valid!

2. This is a list for your favorite TV shows of 2016, and by that I mean that every show you vote for must have been airing new episodes in its country of origin. Like, I dunno, if Sherlock aired episodes in the UK last year and they aired on PBS this year that doesn't make it eligible now. Something like that.

3. Shows don't necessarily have to be scripted comedies or dramas. Both The Daily Show and Last Week Tonight made it in last year, for example.

4. But there is an exception; no wrestling. That stuff will all be in the wrestling awards, which is also a thing I'm running because fuck free time I guess?

5. And finally, you don't need to tell me you've edited your list up until I post saying that voting is closed, because that's when I'll start tallying everything. Then if you really, really want to make a change you should probably let me know, and I may or may not allow it.

Now vote! Deadline will be sometime in the vicinity of two weeks from now, probably.

Westworld and Luke Cage are probably recency bias things, and depending on how the season finale for Westworld is, it'll probably change spots. I'm also debating putting Elementary on my list, despites a solid unspectacular season 4. It's one of those shows that even at its worst, I can find something to like about it, even if it's just the chemistry between Lucy Liu and Jonny Miller.

I wish there were legitimate ways of catching up on the recent seasons of Better Call Saul, Atlanta, Always Sunny, and Archer before the deadline. I think those are the only 4 I've not seen and would want to see - likely even giving a spot to one or more of them, based on past seasons/hype.

I've got a preliminary list and I need to whittle it down.

Everyone seems to like Atlanta. Maybe I should give it a shot

I've only seen the first two episodes but it might make my list.  That might have more to do with the amount of current tv I watched this year, but it seems like a pretty good show nonetheless.

I'm gonna start working on a shortlist, I'm not sure if I can even make it to ten honestly.

Some shows I dug (One Mississippi, Luke Cage, Lady Dynamite, Fresh off the Boat, Survivor)  but not enough to put it on my list of favorites. I have not finished all of these shows, but mostly up to date. I have Atlanta ready to watch, so I'll give a few episodes a watch and try and see if I wanna place it on the list.
