It's gonna be hard times for Bears fans for the next few years, but you can at least take solace in that they don't have too many insane contracts and they won't be in a New Orleans situation with a ton of dead money, even if Cutler sticks around.

I am all for the Falcons throwing the veteran minimum at Freeney again and getting him back.  Interested to see who Kansas City franchises, because they have a D-Lineman in Poe that could be beastly for whoever wants to throw the coin at him.

Antonio Brown got paid. 4 years/$68 million.

I can see Alshon Jeffrey winding up as the big signing of a bad team with lots of cap space. Bears are doing the smart thing letting him go. They should just bottom out and do a full rebuild free of bad contracts. Too many teams suck forever because as soon as they're turning the corner they throw dumb money at veterans and their good, young players wind up walking.

They could have as much as $100 million to spend. So yeah. Get ready for Alshon Jeffrey or Kenny Stills to receive a lot of money from San Francisco. 

Cousins or Garoppolo is a different story since that's more about giving up picks than just straight up money but I wouldn't be surprised if they go after either of them. Though I also wouldn't be surprised if they go a more conservative route and sign Brian Hoyer to bridge the cap for whatever rookie they draft.

The good news with a complete rebuild is that your imagination can run wild with possibilities! (and ultimately end up disappointed)

You might want to get the sauce ready as unless he's taking a pay cut to play in GB then they're not going to spend the money to get him.

The Giants are theoretically a good landing place but I don't really want him at the price he'll command. I don't think its possible anyway after tagging JPP.

Could have a lot to do with them agreeing a six-year, $78 million deal with Eric Berry.

So, Charles and Peterson to Seattle & Green Bay, then.

KC will definitely franchise Poe.

Been chatter that even though he got tagged, Cousins would prefer to go SF.

Charles and Peterson are both good veteran options. I think AP is expecting a ton of money and that money might not wind up being there. Meanwhile, Charles will probably take less and wind up in the GB backfield.

If the charges end up getting dropped I could see him getting a chance somewhere. Too many teams desperate to stop the pass that a player with his resume has to get a look or two.
