That last one by Death is supposed to be Politicians in My Eyes but I think it posted the whole album. It's not on Spotify anyway so I probably shouldn't have bothered.  

Maybe a few songs documenting historical moments in America? I can think of three for the Kennedys assassination (and it gives an excuse to use Phil Ochs, because I love Phil Ochs). 

Actually...lets do that for Phil. His best known, and a bit of a protest against war and such. Similar type of stuff to Bob Dylan or Tom Rush, but I like Phil much better than either. 

We can use the Misfits....

I also felt like hip hop and motown should be represented on this list. Both are huge parts of American music history. These songs both seemed apt for this sort of playlist.
