When I bought Fire Pro as a teenager I played it for 3 hours, couldn't win a single match or do hardly anything because of the timing so I stashed it away for like a year till we had no cable or internet and I had to play it again. It absolutely is a learning curve. Just repeat mission mode stuff until you have a good handle. That mode is a godsend for new players.

Yeah I just jumped in with an exhibition match and had to guess how to do everything and it didn't turn out well. I'll try again with this advice later and see how it goes

So, is it worth picking this up on PS4 when it comes out tomorrow (UK) or should I wait until patches/DLC/whatever fixes some of the shit you guys are talking about? I'm keeping in mind that tomorrow is also FIFA day so it could prove costly if I get both.

Wait for sure if you really want the booking mode. Otherwise, the wait time for the UK has given the chance for a lot of creations to get up on the marketplace and gameplay wise it's pretty solid on the PS4 right now.

I just got my dispatch email from Amazon to say my PS4 copy is on its way - earlier than expected, meaning it should arrive Saturday, and I'll be playing it Sunday. I am excite.

I'm really tempted to get this. Is it easy to download wrestlers? I'm not much of a creator but I love building a comprehensive roster if the quality is good enough.

Super Easy. I have thousands of wrestlers in mine and I haven't ever created  a single one. Most are decent. Some are great.

I don't know who are the better creators but there are millions of wrestlers out there easy to download.

In terms of the process of downloading content, I'd that easy enough? Am I right in thinking it has to be done online rather than through the game itself?

Yes.  You go to www.firepro-w.com, log in with your PSN and just download everything you want off of there.  Then next time you turn on the game everything you downloaded will be available.

Who are the good creators?

I usually just search for the name of the wrestler I want to download and then "Most Subscribed".  If I see a good version, I'll check out their other work to see if they have a collection.

Jazzx57629 has basically the entire Raw, SmackDown, and 205 Live rosters and they're all pretty good

Got the NJPW stuff from Steam. Just played a few matches but loving it so far. Highlights have included discovering BUSHI does the Mist as a striking move, accidentally discovering Naito can do Destino as a corner-to-centre attack and critical-ing Ibushi with the Skull End.

I did load up the story mode and got as far as the creation stuff but didn't have hours and hours and the doctorate required to go through that. I liked how they've voice captured Yugi Nagata chortling at you though. >_>

Oh, and Ishii is a beast. Literally countered the Skull End 9 times and took three Destino's before he stayed down in a big LIJ vs. Chaos match I played.

Won my first proper match in a battle royal, it's much easier to win grapples in the matches than the tutorial, plus picking my spots helped somewhat. What a game. Love me some Suzuki.

P.s. I won seven trophies at once for it!
