Northwich Victoria, who reached the second round two seasons ago and the third round in 2006, will face local rivals 1874 Northwich - a breakaway club formed five years ago - in the extra preliminary round of the FA Cup.

A total of 737 clubs have entered the 2017-18 competition, with 370 of those starting their campaign on the weekend 5-6 August when 185 extra preliminary round ties will be played.

The extra preliminary round is the first of six qualifying rounds before the first round proper on 4 November.

The two Northwich teams will be also face each other in the North West Counties Premier Division next season.

Northwich Victoria were beaten 3-0 by Premier League Sunderland at the Stadium of Light 11 years ago.

There are 18 clubs taking part in the FA Cup for the first time this season, including Whitchurch Alport.

The Shropshire club was formed in 1946 and boasts former Northern Ireland striker Jimmy Quinn among its former players.

Friday's draw took place 41 days after Arsenal beat Chelsea in the 2017 final at Wembley.

All extra preliminary round winners will receive £1,500 in prize money.

Newcastle Benfield vs West Allotment Celtic is the tie of the round. Mark my words.

Closely followed by Dunkirk vs Leicester Nirvana.

Haven't gone bust yet. They resigned from the Conference in April (though didn't announce it publicly until the end of the season) which incurs a two division drop, they then finished in the relegation zone which turned it into a three division drop, hence Midland League. They've stated that this was done to save money until they can finally get a stadium in Worcester (though the council appear to be waiting for them to drop enough divisions until all they have to do is rope off a field and call it good, they recently voted down the long running planning application despite their own approval committee recommending it for approval because the NIMBYs have been out in force).

The BBC are televising at least one match from every round. They are currently showing Litherland Remyca vs AFC Liverpool on the Beeb site.

Billericay Town vs Didcott Town on the Beeb website. What a time to be alive.

And it is only one camera and no replays

It is like being at the match with the added bonus of not being in Billericay.

Really shit of the BBC to pick that game, when they could give the spotlight to any number of clubs who deserve it rather than Billericay, joke club with a clown owner/manager (says it all that they're the same person).

Unfortunately they are the highest profile non-non-league club at the moment.

Which is fine if it's like the 1st Round and it's on live BBC or whatever, but for a little neat streaming thing on the website they don't need to devote any time to dickheads like him. Most of the clubs in this round won't get that chance at a TV spotlight later on, they might actually get that far sadly. I assume Billericay won?

Are Billericay hated because they're a particularly rich non-league club with once-famous players or has the owner done particularly bad things along the way?

Literally the worst thing I've ever seen in football.
