Phil Jones is going to score the winning goal now, right?

Every time Hazard makes a run at him.

I don't envy Courtois with the sun at that height.

England centre back Phil Jones at work there, lads.

Now now, let's not be too harsh. It's not like Jones will have to contend with Eden Hazard again in the World Cu...

Oh, shit.

In 2013, Sir Alex Ferguson said of Jones, "Arguably, the way he is looking, he could be Manchester United's best ever player."

Can only assume he said this whilst trying to stifle giggles.

Gone for a United win with Rashford to score in 90 minutes, and 5+ corners in each half.

Well, my bet is out the window but I stuck a quid on Chelsea winning on penalties and a quid on it being >2.5 goals.

God, if United had equalised there I'd have been pissed.

Penalty aside, we've mainly benefited from a bunch of sloppy United passing. Jose's half-time talk would be interesting to hear.

Also, that should have been a red card. I know the rules have changed, but he was so close to goal by that point, I think you have to give the red.

I mean, at the time Fergie was playing Jones more in midfield than anywhere else, and plenty of people were impressed by his play. If Fergie had stayed then we'd be looking at a hugely different player.

Nah, I like the removal of double jeopardy. Penalty plus red is ridiculous almost every time.

I genuinely don't understand how this Man Utd team finished on 81 points. They're just awful. Dismal, dismal, awful, turgid shite. Would rather watch us.

To be fair, they still look miles better than we did against Newcastle.

I like the removal of it, I just feel that by that point, Hazard was likely to score. By taking him out, you add a greater likelihood of the pen not going in/being saved and it is a less advantageous position.

It depends on the mileage as to whether you felt Hazard was likely to score.

Hazard vs the best keeper in the world, at his near post? I'd take DDG's chances there...

From a neutral point of view, I'd fancy Hazard to score.

I am still in with both, just about.

I think Jones should be off purely because that tackle was so badly and poorly executed. He twisted his body and took him out with his back.

Granted it's a rugby league example but one of my favourite ever rl players and a legend of the club labeled our halfback at the time as the best one we'd had at the club in over 20 years and that he was the next Peter Sterling(who was one of the greatest rl halfbacks of, if not all time, then at least the last 40 years).

So naturally, using an english footballing equivalent standard, he turns out to be League 1 quality at best.

So tldr overhyping sportspeople is a  universal thing. :P

Saw a stat - Hazard's was the first non-Man Utd FA Cup final penalty scored since Glenn Hoddle for us in 1982? Surely that can't be right?

Hey, Fabregas. Stop giving the ball away like that. Okay? Okay.
