It does look amazing but I really wish they'd waited till Endgame was done before releasing the trailer. Everyones obviously coming back but come on, space it out a bit :(

I dunno.  Marvel does get a little funky with their timelines when they release movies.  GOTG2 only took place a few months after the first despite coming out years after. Antman and the Wasp came out after Infinity War and took place kinda before/during it.  They could just place this movie as happening before Infinity War.

I doubt thats the case though

According to Wikipedia, it takes place after End Game but that doesn't mean it's true. It is a fair question especially since it doesn't seem like he's using his suit he got in Infinity War.

That being said, they couldn't really wait to release the trailer until after End Game because the movie comes out like 2 months after End Game.

The other things to keep in mind also are that we have no idea about what Endgame is going to bring us. It could be time travel, alternate realities, or any number of other things going on in that movie.

So, it's entirely possible that in the reality that we've been watching the MCU in, Peter Parker and the others are just gone. Maybe that's how they are going to be re-setting the MCU for phase four? Or different timelines. Maybe Far From Home takes place after Endgame simply because the result of Endgame sees the universe restored through time travel, and in the timeline where Thanos is defeated, Peter Parker never got off the bus to go help, or if he did, maybe he listened to Stark and bailed from the ship before they got into space.

This trailer didn't give anything away other than the fact that Spider-Man is coming back for another movie. There's no how involved in the trailer, and nothing to spoil what's still to come before Far From Home lands in July.

The shot of Peter's passport in the trailer has no year on it, so that may be them trying to hide whether it happens before or after Endgame.

Good stuff! Are they gonna have someone in the MCU show up in every one of them to remind you that they're connected though?

Probably! Isn't that sort of the whole point? At this point seeing Marvel movies that are totally isolated from the rest of the universe would feel like a let-down to me.

To be clear, I don't really care that they are. Just something I noticed. I wouldn't be surprised if it is part of the deal that Sony and Disney made when they agreed to share the character.

This is stolen from r/MarvelStudioSpoilers, which got it from 4chan. It seems fairly realistic, nothing outlandish. And a few of them are proven to be true in the trailer (keep in mind, this was posted almost a week ago).

Endgame/Far From Home spoilers ahead - well, maybe. We'll see.

Spoiler
  • Tony Stark is dead.
  • There are four elemental monsters: sand, water, stone & lava.
  • Mysterio is the main villain.
  • Chameleon is the secondary villain.
  • Peter spends most of the movie in the SHIELD stealth suit, then switches to the black/red suit Tony made for him before dying.
  • Final fight is Spider-Man vs Mysterio.
  • Leading up to the final fight, Mysterio beats Spider-Man and compromises SHIELD.
  • Relationship between Peter & Fury is a big focus of the movie. Fury tries to be serious, but Peter constantly cracks jokes.
  • Mysterio uses Chitauri tech. Peter has to ask Vulture to help find him.
  • No helicarrier.
  • Peter is depressed and doesn't want to be Spider-Man anymore at first.
  • He realizes being an Avenger is about always "rebuilding" himself, like Tony always did.
  • Movie ends with Peter and Michelle back in NYC, in a relationship.
  • Beforehand, there's a love triangle between Peter, Michelle and new student Alistair Smythe. Also one between Ned, Flash and Betty.
  • Aunt May & Happy Hogan are dating.
  • JB Smoove's character is a tour guide/chaperone on the trip that keeps getting himself into dangerous situations.
  • Movie has a very comedic tone overall.

Someone on reddit edited together that one with the first trailer.

I watched Ant-Man and Wasp with the family yesterday. It was fun, good fun.

Now I need to see the first one.

Spoiler

Did they ever in the first place? Because they were already wrong. Off the top of my head The Dark Knight, Superman, Spider-man 2 and Men in Black come to mind.

I might've been mis-remembering.  I just remember fans of the DCEU making a big deal about Suicide Squad winning one for, I think, Best Makeup, pointing out no MCU movie won an award

Am I in the minority in thinking Black Panther is just an okay movie? I’ve seen it three times now, and the pacing is pretty terrible.

I loved Black Panther and haven't had an issue with the pacing myself over the same amount of views... but it's definitely not my favorite MCU film.

I think that the fact that it played so well to minority audiences has helped cultivate this feeling that it's superior to the others, and I expect the same reaction for Captain Marvel. Like I said, loved Black Panther, but I still would rate The First Avenger, Ragnarok and Infinity War as better films.

Hey guys! So I've been fortunate enough to have great support here on the boards.
I shared a wrestlers-turned-actors video I produced while interning at Entertainment Tonight Canada and it got massive traction thanks to you.
Since then, they've allowed me to produce my own original video series -- so of course I made it Marvel themed! If you could take the time to share this "Cheat Sheet" video, I would be forever grateful. All this support has really helped give me opportunity in an otherwise harsh industry.
That being said! I really want to start conversation. Whose team are you on? My minds with Cap' but my hearts with Spidey <3
