Parts you hate in games you love

Oh, and I was playing Alan Wake and that one segment where you had to team up with Mott? That segment can go fuck itself with a 40 inch barbed wire dildo.

People who still cheese when they're playing with a vastly better squad and/or are leading greatly. Or cheesing at all, really. But going the distance of trying to use exploits and glitchy behaviour in a sports title when you're running around with a god-tier team that is beating the other team by 20, it just is very shitty as a whole.

Also, Multiplayer achievements. Also, tacked on Social media implements. Also, microtransactions and DLC that should've been in the game in the first place.

Oh... And Pazaak

Oh, and the final hour of Mass Effect 3, the shittest ending to one of the greatest games ever.

Possibly that part. I just remember climbing very high, a lot. I moaned about it whilst playing, too. But other parts were so satisfying that it didn't hamper my enjoyment all that much.

A sidenote: I'm a few chapters into the new game now, and I swear the climbing by feels quicker. Just me?

Metal Gear Solid 3
- Everything between the Shagohod and the Boss, basically that escort mission with Eva.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
- The Driver, it's one of those bullshit missions where you are given a car less powerful than your rival so the only way to win is to cheat.

All of Taris in KOTOR - mainly because I've played it so much and it's such a grind to get off the planet.

Pretty much the same with Paragus and Telos in the sequel too.

I'm seemingly one of the only people who liked Taris, and who still likes it when replaying the game. I enjoyed being a non-Jedi and seeing the world from the perspective of a seemingly unimportant Republic soldier, and I was interested in the class system that ran the planet.

I'll definitely agree with you on Peragus and Telos, though. Those were tedious affairs, so much so that modders have created ways to skip them.

Besides KOTOR, the first thing that came to mind was from another Bioware game, Dragon Age: Origins. More specifically, I'm talking about The Fade, which was by far the most boring and irritating part of the game. That's another section that can be modded out on PC, thankfully.
