I think the board is safe too. Abandonia and Myabandonware have been running hard for years and I don't think the provide links to any games that have been litigious in the past or if they've gone up for sale on GOG or Steam.

Fair enough. Let us continue the party!

Every late 80s early 90s Sid Meier game had an amazing charm and depth about them.

Pirates!, Railroad Tycoon, Covert Action, Sword of the Samurai, Silent Service.

Also Sierra OnLine games like Police Quest 1-3, Gabriel Knight, Leisure Suit Larry, Space Quest, Kings Quest.

Betrayal at Krondor and Ultima are great RPG's

Alter-Ego if you want a silly 'life game' which options hasn't aged well, but it's a quick jaunt of 30 minutes.

Star Control 1-2, Planetfall, Starflight 1-2 if you want classic space-games

Dracula in London

Taking place shortly after Lucy's death and after Dracula has begun to make his move on Mina Harker, the goal is find what estates Dracula has bought in London, then to break in, sterilize his special Transylvanian dirt, and kill the fucker. Each game is different, and there's plenty of random events to keep things fresh. You may be exploring a house, only for it to be empty, or for Renfield to break in and start causing some shit. The game has a time limit, at the end of which if you haven't stopped him, the gang goes to Castle Dracula (...or, as I prefer, Castlevania :shifty: )  to stop Dracula for good. He might be there, might not be. It was fun for what it was.

Used to own this game. It's pretty good if you have a few people taking turns, rather than playing by yourself.

I'll recommend Master of Magic (1994). It was a great game for it's time, and I wish they had made a sequel.

There are a couple of games I am trying my best to remember but for the life of me I cannot think of the names. One of them is like Stronghold on the PC and I remember playing it as a kid at my Mum's office. I had a demo on floppy disk (yes, I'm old, big whoop) and it was a castle building game. Must have been between '90 and '94 maybe.

Another game was on the PS1. It was kind of a like a competitive puzzle/action game. You had rooms that revolved and had traps and shit and you had to collect crystals or some shit. Kinda futuristic looking. Muliplayer.

I assume this is Blast Chamber? Interestingly, a demo was released for a PC version, but nothing more after that.

Is the castle building game Ramparts?

Nah, I think it had isometric graphics. I know Ramparts though.

Is that the same Championship Manager that people say is the best footie sim? I may download that and give it a go.

Yes. I prefer CM4, which iirc is the last CM Sports Interactive made before the split from Eidos, but I'm in the minority on that point (CM4 is also abandonware).

Figured I'd take a look through Myabandonware and just see what jumps out at me. Gonna stick with Windows games, rather than getting lost in a Commodore 64 memory trip, and leave out anything already discussed, or too obvious (Lemmings!).

Blood 2! - the original was better, like if you mashed Duke Nukem, Evil Dead and the works of HP Lovecraft up in a blender, but 2's okay too.

Creatures! - (& all the sequels). I was obsessed with this game, thought it was the future of computing. You raise Norns, these furry little idiots, and try and teach them, socialise them, and so on, and they pass their traits down from generation to generation. I'm tempted to play this again.

Deer Avenger! - it's like Deer Hunter, but you're the Deer, and you kill people. Remember that seeming like the height of satire at the time.

Jazz Jackrabbit 2 - Jazz is a forgotten platform hero. Loved the original game as a kid. But I always had this mindset, being brought up with the notion of Sonic vs. Mario, that a gaming platform needed a platform game mascot, so probably gave Jazz more credence than the little sod deserved.

Microsoft Gold '98 - this was the only game on my friend's grandmother's laptop, which was the first laptop computer I ever used. It felt incredible at the time.

Nightmare Creatures - This was spooky and grim, but clunky and ugly, even at the time. An HD remake of this would be amazing.

Stalin vs Martians - I have no idea what this is, but it's the best title ever.
