She had such an amazing voice. Terrible news

Really feeling this today. The Cranberries were the first ever solo concert I attended. Just making the walk up the stadium to where our seats were awkwardly to the side of the stage, it was still like a surreal moment for me. Watching them was incredible, even though they sort of half-assed the less popular songs that I was hoping they'd go all out for, but it was Malaysia which is like the smallest market possible, probably. 

Her voice was magic. So fucking young, whatever the reason, it sucks so bad.

I was very saddened. One of our band's songs has a riff taken from Zombie in it. Amazing singer. Gutting.

An inquest into her death has taken place today and the findings were that she died due to accidental drowning after heavy drinking.

So sad.

Wow. This only got 4 replies at the time?  It did sadden me when it happened. The Cranberries were my first gig back when I was only 12! I'll never forget that performance.

As for the reasons, I thought I had read somewhere it was alcohol related so I had just assumed this was it, I guess. Surprised it wasn't confirmed t now.
