My favourite part was "this might be the last time you see me involved upfront because we will be hiring people who know what they're doing."

I can't embed tweets to save my life, but everybody seemed to find humor in Vince claiming it's 'laborious' to sit through three hours of a NFL game, while producing three hours of RAW every week.

Vince: "Donald, I'm thinking about starting a football league again. Thoughts?"

Vince: "Perfect. I'll assemble a worked press conference."

I saw that! What the hell is padded roulette?

There's going to be a booklet that gets handed out before it starts that will explain everything.

Yeah I thought his "I guess Tebow would be okay" or whatever was a bit throwaway, I don't think he deliberately excluded Kaepernick, and he didn't rule him out in a later question. I'm not saying he wants him (or would get him given his "no social issues" bullshit), but I think that tweets reading far too much from nearly nothing.

That's a hell of a stretch from that dude to infer that.

Regardless of what the article says, during the press conference whenever Kapernick was brought up, Vince very carefully worded that everyone in the league would need to abide by the rule book. He may not have outright said Kaepernick was a criminal, but he definitely gave off the impression that he wouldn't be welcomed into the XFL with open arms.

At least that's how I interpreted it when he kept smirking every time Kap's name was brought up.

Big deal. I don't think we can hold Vince to higher standards than the NFL

Should we hold him to lesser standards? It can at least be argued that Kaepernick is not good enough to be in the NFL anymore. To say he's not good enough to play in the XFL would be painfully inaccurate.

It really can't. Not when Matt Cassel is out here getting jobs.

Lesser no but let's not kid ourselves. Lack of talent isn't the reason he isn't playing anymore. Vince is bad but he isn't bad for this

I’m not saying I believe he can’t play in the NFL, because I do. But it’s an argument that can hold at least some water.

But to say he’s not talented enough to be in the XFL would be the biggest pile of bull crap ever seen. There’s, without doubt, only one thing that would keep him out of that league and it’s his social stances.
