I'm sure that @Maxx will confirm but when I had to use a comp pick last year, it was right at the end of the entire draft.

Taking someone after the draft is the only fair way to do it. Would be unfair to everyone else if you got to go back and fix it now

Yeah, it’s at the end of the draft.  As Srar says it’s the only fair way of doing it.  For a lot of years here and in many other leagues I’ve played in, if one of your picks goes down you’re just stuck dealing with it and hoping for the best when free agency opens.

At least with this you get a jump on free agency, and are guaranteed the player you choose.
