For what it's worth Ray Rice has spent the past 4 years actually going around and trying to teach people how to learn from what he did. He got blackballed and instead of trying to act like it was someone else's fault he took the responsibility and has tried to explain to people why it's never okay to assault someone. He was recently back in Baltimore as part of the 10-year anniversary of the 2008 team. I am all-but-certain that was the first time he was back doing anything with the Ravens franchise. Michael Vick got to play again but he has also done a lot of outside work to try and help people learn from what he did. 

Meanwhile, the NFL media is already setting up Kareem Hunt to not actually have to do this, instead just manufacturing an apology tour for him.
