  1. So I drew Everton 0-0 and Chelsea also drew which meant we won the league! Since then I made a few signings and started the third season with a penalty loss to Chelsea in the Community Shield after a 3-3 draw and then a 2-1 loss to Man City in the Prem opener. So not too great then. Sold Allen, Mignolet, Lallana and Lovren for 41m between then and got in Gerrard for 600k, Ashley Cole for free after Enrique wouldn't resign, Phil Jones from Spurs for 30m to replace Lovren, then spent 40m to get Sergio Busquets in from Barca, thanks to some info from a new scout I hired. I also see a few top quality regens that I will probably end up buying in January, as I still have 15m to spend if needed. Squad: - Sergio Romero & Jack Butland - Micah Richards, Phil Jones, Martin Skrtel & Mamadou Sakho - Glen Johnson, Nathaniel Clyne, Ashley Cole & Alberto Moreno - Steven Gerrard, Sergio Busquets, James Milner, Raheem Sterling, Youri Tielemans, Jordan Henderson, Phillipe Coutinho, Joao Moutinho & Adam Maher - Divock Origi, Harry Kane, Daniel Sturridge & Mario Balotelli
  2. So the second season has been pretty good, we lost to Barca in the first KO round of the CL after getting 2nd place in our group behind Valencia and we won the Capital One Cup, beating Newcastle 3-2 in the final with a last minute Kane goal. Chelsea beat us in the Semis of the FA Cup and we have one game left in the league and anything can happen. We are 3pts clear with a game left ahead of Chelsea and face...Everton (Who we haven't won in the league yet). Knowing my luck we lose and Chelsea beat Man Utd and win the title. Kane and Balotelli have been a lethal combination with Kane getting 32 goals and 12 assists and Mario getting 30 goals and 18 assists. Sturridge wasn't as good this season, getting 9 goals and Coutinho and Maher are really challenging each other in the AMC Shadow Striker role, Maher with 17 goals and 12 assists and Coutinho with 15 goals and 7 assists. I have already signed Jack Butland for 5m as the backup for Romero next season with the plan for him to slowly replace him. I tried for Scuffett but they wanted over 80m for him and even if he is world class I'd rather get Butland in who has lots of potential and is English. Also this means Mignolet will be leaving too. Jose Enrique won't accept a contract offer and will be leaving for free at the end of the season, not sure how much I would need to pay Utd to get him but Luke Shaw is a potential target, any other ideas for cheap but good Left Wing Backs? Also Dejan Lovren, Adam Lallana & Joe Allen all want to leave, so for the right price I might sell them. Looking to get Gerrard back and then try for Romero who is still at Velez. Also I feel like Mitrovic will be leaving too as he hasn't been nearly as good as I expected, with 8 goals in two years. I will be giving Jerome Sinclair a shot at the first team to replace him a bit next year. Lets just hope I manage to beat Everton now~ >_>
  3. Yeah Kane is a god, he got 5mins as a sub against Chelsea in the first game and scored in injury time, we still lost 2-1 though . He has 2 in 2 sub apps so far. Yeah I probably should get another Defensive Midfielder as Joe Allen, while good, probably isn't good enough as a first teamer and has no competition. I might bring Gerrard back in January though for 500k-1m, if nothing else than to have him back and retire here. How much do you reckon them players would cost? I know I can get Romero for something like 10m and he's still at Velez (for now as Valencia/Benfica want him). What about that Danish player at Bayern, Hojbjerg? Also what kind of player is Will Hughes, he's been on my radar for some time, alongside a Leeds CM, would he be considered more an attacking player or a CM. I have a potential future spot for him as a B2B Midfielder fighting for Hendersons place if he's good enough. I know he's been good on past games, but I don't follow Derby or the Champiopnship that closely.
  4. So the first year as Liverpool manager was odd. We started well and managed to stay in 1st place for quite some time, until our top scorer, Balotelli, got injured. In the end we just managed to finish 4th, 4pts above Spurs to end a disapointing season. Romero managed 10 clean sheets all season, but only costed 2m and wasn't always that bad, Skrtel got sent off about 6 times throughout the season, pissing me off. We ended up 2nd in our CL group of Barca, Monaco & some German team, only to get knocked out by Juventus in the first KO round 4-2. Balotelli ended up our top scorer with an incredible 42 goals in 45 games in all comps, also bagging 12 assists. The nearest to him were Sturridge (15), Coutinho (11) & Sterling (14). This season I brought in a few more players than I expected but the overall squad looks alot better than last season. Ilori, Lambert, Coates, Markovic, Luis Alberto & Iago Aspas all left and Toure, Flanagan & Brad Jones left on frees with Gerrard leaving for LA obviously. I signed Micah Richards for free to replace Toure as backup player, which is an improvement because he's much better, I still don't get why City release him. James Milner arrived to try and replace the hole left by Gerrard for 18m, PSV gave me Adam Maher for 6m, who will be backup in the AMC spot to Coutinho and I also signed Joao Moutinho from Monaco for 10m, pretty cheap for such a good player. I then broke my personal transfer record to get Harry Kane in, 55m and all upfront as I don't want massive debt. All the players I've signed are bought with the cash upfront as hopefully over time we can start to rely on our youth academy for players. So the Squad is pretty good and will have to be rotated alot to satisfy everyone, I still have Lallana unhappy due to lack of first team apps from last season. Squad: - Sergio Romero & Simon Mignolet - Micah Richards, Martin Skrtel, Dejan Lovren & Mamadou Sako - Glen Johnson, Nathaniel Clyne, Jose Enrique & Alberto Moreno - Adam Lallana, James Milner, Raheem Sterling, Jordan Henderson, Joe Allen, Phillipe Coutinho, Jordan Ibe, Joao Moutinho & Adam Maher - Daniel Sturridge, Harry Kane, Mario Balotelli & Aleksandar Mitrovic I also have these players out on loan: - Youri Tielemans, Divock Origi, Ryan Seager, Ryan McLaughlin, Jordan Rossiter, Ryan Kent, George Cooper & Jerome Sinclair Any suggestions to improve the team for the third season? The only thing I feel we're lacking is a world class keeper and maybe anoither good Centre Back.
  5. Who'd you buy in the two seasons so far? I just started another Liverpool game last night and have just got into September. The Champions League group for first season tends to be bad, but this time I have Barcelona, Monaco and Gelsenkirchen, which looks like i'll probably be struggling to finish 2nd in. I haven't sold anyone yet, but plan to get rid of Lucas next season and bring in someone like Verratti or Pogba to replace them. I brought in Sergio Romero to compete with Mignolet for 2m, then raided Anderlecht for Youri Tielemans, 15m, and Aleksandar Mitrovic, 16m. Was looking to loan them both back to their previous club but they didn't want to be loaned back so I guess they'll be good backup.
  6. Is the new mode just for the next-gen or will I be able to play this mode on the 360/ps3 too?
  7. *Waits for City to offer 65m for him* In my last game of FM14, not sure if im getting FM15 or not probably end up getting it at Xmas, I'm playing as Liverpool and managed to do the thing I wanted to do since I bought FM14, win the league! Not too confident we can retain the title, as I had a major overhaul of the squad. Champions League group is Dinamo, Valencia & Dortmund so pretty nervous about that too. I also broke the transfer record for a keeper Henderson left for 15m to City, Swansea bought both Borini and Assaidi for 7m, Lucas left for PSG for 30m, Skrtel left because he bitched and moaned about me fining him for 5m to Zenit, hope he enjoys the league. Suarez left for 40m to Real Madrid, Reina left for 8m to join Lucas at PSG too. Sturridge underperformed so when Spurs offered 15m and 5m over 2 years I leapt at the chance, with the final big name outing being Andre Ayew, who I bought for 10m, leaving to Barca for 17m. With them offers plus a few reserve team players leaving, we gained almost 150m! So I decided to spunk the cash on a few players, as you do, breaking a record for a keeper in the process. Callum Chambers joined to back Johnson up for 9m, originally I was trying to get im in January but they wanted him loaned back and I needed a wing back badly. Tom Ince was brought back on a free after released by Blackpool. He may not play much but adds strength in numbers for those cup and CL games. He's still 4* Potential too, so unsure why he was released. Bernd Leno was the record signing, for 50m, he's a risk at that price but I reckon since he's 5* potential that he's going to be a great player for us. Next in was John Guidetti as we needed a good backup to play the smaller games and challenge in the squad, bought from City for a measly 1m. Verratti was another big signing for us, I had offers of 40-50m rejected for Paul Pogba and say him unhappy. I think 20m for him was pretty cheap for the player he is. Gaston Gil Romero, another fave player of mine, came in for 5m to provide backup and potentially become the next Mascherano in our team. 35m was spunked on Targetman Jackson Martinez to replace the goals left by the likes of Suare and Sturridge, lastly but not leastly Will Hughes wanted to leave Derby and they accepted 9m for him, probably the deal of the window. That leaves the squad like this: Goalkeepers: Bernd Leno & Simon Mignolet Defenders: Glen Johnson, Callum Chambers, Wayne Bridge (Last season free), Emiliano Insua, Eder Alvarez Balanta, Daniel Agger, Mamadou Sakho & Tiago Illori Midfielders: Gaston Gil Romero, Steven Gerrard, Marco Verratti, Joe Allen, Will Hughes & Coutinho Wingers: Tom Ince, Raheem Sterling, Ryan Kent (Youth Team) & Jordan Ibe (Youth Team) Strikers: Jackson Martinez, Jerome Sinclair (Youth Team) & John Guidetti Key Players of last season need to keep going this season, Coutinho & Sterling. Last year Coutinho got 13 goals & 14 assists Last year Sterling got 14 goals and 20 assists AND won our POTY and the official YPOTY. 3rd in POTY too. I hope to get this season done sometime this week, probably end up not winning anything, although we beat Everton to win the Community Shield.
  8. The Targetman & Poacher setup works really well I find. I got Jackson Martinez for 16m to play the TM role alongside Suarez/Sturridge and they're playing really well so far.
  9. Yeah he's actually a really good Keeper and I went and scouted him, and bought him Sold Mignolet to Southampton, Guidetti to Stoke, Destro to Monaco for 19m, Sturridge to Spurs for 10m, Diame to Fulham, Assaidi to Stoke, Allen to Newcastle, Wisdom to West Ham and Sakho to PSG. Overall I got 64m from the sales. Best part of the outgoings is that I bought Destro a year ago for 14m, and yet after only 5 goals Monaco offered that much for him. Now to the best part, the Transfers in . Two regens rated at 4* Potential came in from Celtic (Kier Cambell LB 6m) and Dundee (Andy Carmichael CB 500k). Next is the shockingly cheap transfer of Ron-Rob Zieler for a measly 100k...yes 100k for a 4* Keeper is a massive bargain. From 100k to 40m now as I signed the guy that screwed us out of winning the FA Cup, Erik Lamela. Probably the most i've ever paid for a player (not counting my various attempts to buy Verratti and Pogba for around 45-50m) and he will need to perform well from the get-go to meet his price tag. After last years striker problems, I ot rid of most of them and needed a backup for Eminike. In comes Luciano Vietto from Atletico Paranaese for 12m. Judging from pre-season (In which he has 5 in 7 apps) he can already be relied on to score and might be causing alot more trouble for Eminike than 3rd choice Jerome Sinclair (Who is rated 4* 1/2 Potential, same as Vietto). I had some more cash to splash and after getting transfer listed at Monaco, I couldn't help but offer the 20m that brought James Rodriguez to the club, it was a bargain buy IMO. Last transfer (So far) is the Centre Back that replaces Sakho, 23m was spent on getting Man Citys Matija Nastasic. I hope the Skrtel & Nastasic pairing can perform well in the coming years. I spent 101m and brought in 64m, so technically only spent 37m in the grand scheme of things. The Quality Squad, I think, is good enough to challenge for the title but I didn't risk it and just went with Champions League place. What with the added games from the CL (If we qualify) and the cups, it might be tough. Talking about tough brings me to my next point, the start is fucking tough. First 5 Prem games: Chelsea (A), Arsenal , Man City (A), Birmingham , Southampton . Added into the fact that we finished 4th last season and now have to beat Porto over two legs to get in, its a tough first 5 games. Squad: GK: Reina & Zieler LWB/RWB: Flanagan, Santon, Campbell (Regen) & Johnson CB: Agger, Skrtel, Nastasic & Illori CM: Barry, Xhaka, & Gerrard AM: Lamela, Ibe, Morrison, Hughes, James & Coutinho FC: Vietto, Sinclair & Eminike Looks like a pretty World Class Squad to me, although imma have to rotate alot.
  10. Eh I just thought that occasionally the Keeper might get caught out, but I doubt that'd happen. This Transfer window looks promising, I even broke our transfer record to get someone in for 40m. When I've got everyone I need i'll post the transfers.
  11. For some reason Timo isn't in my game, I guess it's because the only leagues I have loaded are Prem and Championship (my Laptop is crap). Reina himself is pretty good, its just that he finds it hard to keep fit for every game, actually he won Keeper of the year and got in the Team Of The Year, alongside Coutinho keeping 15 clean sheets. Mignolet on the other hand is shite, clearly different to real life, but eh. I have a 40m transfer budget and 150k free wages ready for next season, not sure if I should try for a big name Keeper or get a cheaper decent backup really as Hart, Romero, Akinfeev & Adler would all be willing to join. I have seen a cheap keeper called Ron-Robert Zieler from Hannover available for 2m, but his 18 rushing out is stopping me from buying him. 17 Aerial, 20 Command, 15 Handling & 15 One on Ones though. Also need another Centre Back as only Skrtel managed to get a 7 rating. Santon played really well at LWB and with Johnson at RWB I feel they can both contribute greatly to attack and defence, backups are Robinson and Flanagan though, although Flan is decent. The Midfield is way too inflated right now, although Tiago and Barry are likely to leave, meaning Xhaka can get more gametime. Does Xhaka develop into a decent Defensive minded Midfielder or is he more attacking/B2B? Also probably need another striker to replace Destro/Sturridge/Guidetti too. Gonna be a 'Big' Transfer window
  12. He's injured, otherwise I probably would have played him more. Eminike finished with 16 goals and Sturridge got 9. Coutinho was by far our best player, playing just behind the Striker and on the Wings he got 13 goals and 17 assists. Will Hughes and Ravel Morrison barely got a look in because of it, probably end up loaning one of them out next year. Destro & Guidetti are leaving, and if I get a good offer for Sturridge then he could leave too, Man City & Barca are interested (A Barca team that bought Suarez this year). In the league we managed to finish 4th after fading out of the title race in January, beating Everton of all teams to 4th place on the final day. I played Spurs twice in my last two games, Lost 2-1 in the FA Cup Final (after having 24 shots and 64% possesion) fuck you Lamela . But then we drew 0-0 with them in the League, after dominating most of the game. Next season I need to improve the Defence as we did well and scored a fair few, but concede way too many even against relegation battling teams. Reina has a decent rating but Mignolet never plays well.
  13. In my Liverpool side I have way too many strikers fighting for one spot in the lineup. My Tactics doing decently now, into March and 15pts behind Leaders Chelsea so I doubt i'll be challenging this year, still gonna be succesfull if we just manage to qualify for the CL. This is the second season btw GK: Reina/Mignolet/Jones CB: Agger CB: Skrtel CB: Sakho DM: Diame/Barry CMx2: Gerrard/Allen/Xhaka/Tiago AM: Hughes/Morrison AML/R: Coutinho/Johnson/Canos FC: Destro/Sturridge/Guidetti/Emenike/Sinclair Destro: 4 in 15 Sturridge: 7 in 20 Guidetti: 6 in 15 Emenike: 12 in 26 Sinclair: 1 in 2 Not exactly our best position ¬_¬
  14. Llorente is a beast, I had him at Reading once and he was the leagues second top scorer, with something like 23 goals in his debut season. In my latest attempt at playing as Liverpool, I let the first season sim and they finished 8th ¬_¬, but then when I joined they gave me 52m to get a Europa League spot. I sold Kelly to Stoke for 5m, Henderson went to arsenal for 10m, Lucas left for PSG for 30m, Aspas to CSKA for 5m, Jose Enrique went for 10m back to Newcastle and Suarez left for Barca for 30m. With the massive WARCHEST I had, I signed a fair few players and racked up a total spend of 101m . Will Hughes came from Derby for 12m, Ryan Gauld came from Dundee for 7m, Mattia Destro for 14m from Roma, Santon replaced Enrique for 20m, Diame and his 3.5m release clause joined from West Ham, Tiago & Gareth Barry were siggned from the free agents list to add experience and backup, Emmanuel Emenike 15m from Fernebache, Granit Xhaka 12m from Gladbach, John Guidetti was listed at City and got for 400k o.o and finally Ravel Morrison was my last buy from West Ham for 18m. So yeah my team: GK: Brad Jones, Jose Reina & Simon Mignolet DL: Davide Santon & Jack Robinson DR: Glen Johnson & John Flanagan DC: Daniel Agged, Martin Skrtel & Mamadou Sakho MC: Gareth Barry, Mohamed Diame, Granit Xhaka, Steven Gerrard, Tiago & Joe Allen AM: Ravel Morrison, Will Hughes, Sergi Canos & Coutinho FC: Daniel Sturridge, Jerome Sinclair, Mattia Destro, Emanuel Eminike & John Guidetti I also have a few players in the U21's who have either **** or ****1/2 Potential, plus players like Andre Wisdom, Ryan Gauld, Jordan Ibe & Suso who are on loan in England who will probably try get a spot for next season. If I don't get at least a Champions League place with this squad, I would deem it as a failure.
  15. Okay so I played Skyrim for Xbox, and though i'd take the plunge and try it for PC, only realised after buying it that it's probably going to be too good for my family laptop to handle (My pc's broken atm). My specs are: Genuine Intel® CPU T2080 @ 1.73GHz, RAM: 2.00GB. So just give me the bad news guys, this shitty old laptop can't run it, not even on lowest settings, right?
