It's after the events of Avengers vs X-Men which is where the Scott turn happens.

Doom and Strange probably have a recollection of past events as well. I will also recommend to anyone reading Secret Wars to read most of a Hickman's Marvel run (F4/FF, Ultimates, A/NA). It's nice to read recaps and such but man Secret Wars is ten times better to me having read those beforehand. Also I can not wait for Maker Reed and God Doom to meet.

Yeah I don't get bashing this and then praising the AoU stuff. I've never had any interest in anything DC, don't really like any of the their movies (not even the Nolan stuff) and I thought the trailer looked ok. On the other hand, maybe it's just because Marvel movies have such a high standard but AoU looks like it's going to be the biggest clusterfuck ever (more so than this one). From the trailers and everything they've released it just seems like it's going to be on the bottom of the MCU.

I saw that, I was rooting so hard for Gonzalez but he was just outclassed. I'm happy for Russell Jr though, he deserves it.
