The field goal/XP holding thing has been flagged on the operationsports forums, there's rumours going around that a patch will come in October at the earliest.

So is anyone going to have an online league?

So before I ante up and join another Online Franchise..am I correct in the thought process that we'll just have one big EWB online Fran?

Yeah, just need to sort out whether I need to get on the phone to EA or not, as I have codes printed on my manual, but they make no reference to online franchise. Gonna put a topic up probably tomorrow evening.

Good God but The Bears have no WRs. I got Matt Jones, and he is pretty good, but it's either him or Olsen and on occasion a short pass to Forte.

Iglesias and Johnny Knox aren't bad, they play better than their ratings would suggest for me anyway.

Brandon Jacobs is an absolute beast, I had an insane amount of trouble bringing him to the ground, he got nearly 100 yards in the first half. I still beat the Giants 27-24 in OT though

He tore me up for like 150 yards. I love that there are players who you really have to gameplan for, it's not like playing generic tailback #427 or something.

I just switched from PS3 to 360 and picked up Madden last night. It plays so much better this year. I really wanna start a franchise but am waiting til the roster update on the 19th at least before I get going.

And if there is an online franchise, put me down for the Chiefs, I definately want in now that I got a 360.

Heads up to those running a online franchise. ANY trade is accepted ny CPU, so unless every team is controlled by a human I'd turn it off. In my one amongst friends, the Eagles traded a 64 rated LB and 70 rated CB for James Harrison and Nnamdi Asomugha rated 97 and 99 respectively. While my other friend was losing a game, quit and played again and won, luckily it showed up on his record and I found out.

So just watch out because there's so many opprtunitie to cheat. Also if anyone wants to run a PS3 franchise I am so in. I'll run it too I'm looking for 4 others minimum to get it started.

The draft features some ridiculously named WRs. I saw a guy with the first name of Jazz, which was pretty cool and another with the first name Churphy, which is just a horrible name.

I once saw a young QB by the name of Dusty Rhodes drafted by New England. It was a nice touch and showed that one of the developers is a big wrestling fan, which is cool. Or else a huge coincidence.

Some people mentioned having a roster update already. Could you tell me who they have as the Chiefs WR's? I wasn't aware of there being a roster update already, I just heard about one for the 19th.

Also, on the 360, do I just start an online game in order to get the roster update?

In 09 it seemed like Colinsworth was the only announcer with real flow. I can't remember the play-by-play guy's name, but he fucking sucked and was very robotic in his announcing. Is the commentary more fluid now? Because last year it would be the PBP guy saying something about the play, and then Colinsworth would add some quip, and then they would shut up for like 40 seconds until the same process would be repeated.

As much as it pains me to say it, because in real games he tends ot bash my beloved Eagles, Collinsworth was a very good addition to the game. The PBP guy, Tom Hammond, on the other hand, is completely worthless. I dunno how two guys who record their stuff to basically be spliced together could have less chemistry then they do. Ditch Hammond and get, like, Al Michaels or someone..

Hell, I'd take the old "hometown radio announcer" of the pre-'09 games over Tom Hamond..

The entire commentary crew is really bad. The cuts are blatantly obvious (saying the quarterback's name in a total monotone, then a noticeable half-beat pause before the line about how much guts that quarterback has, for example) and it's game-wide; Hammond & Collinsworth in the booth, and the two on the halftime show & Extra Point do it as well.

It's less noticeable in the Extra Point then it is during a Game, IMO.

So playing Kansas City Chiefs in my Giants online franchise and I got my first true experience of Pro-Tak

Watch 8 Chiefs helplessy try to drag the pure beastiness that is Brandon Jacobs, to the ground.

It was awesome watching them all leech on. I also unlocked the Wounded Duck gold trophy in this game too too, which was cool.
