  1. I'd bet Goodell couldn't name more than three minorities or women.

  2. I guess Kimmel's whole show last night was a tribute to Fred Willard.

  4. My son, who is 5, likes to make everything catch on fire so he can use the fire extinguisher. Do you have XBOX, @Colly? Streets of Rage 4 is on GamePass.

  5. That was an... interesting episode. I hated the final challenge. The Ru-Mix with each having a verse and choreography for a 3 minute is what you need in that situation. I watched the whole finale challenge and was like "I have no idea how you determine who was the worst or best" because I was not sure what parts they wrote, what was written for them or how much agency they had over the entire challenge. It seemed like zero. I am good with Jackie not making the top 4 and it being a top 3, as she was very good, but not amazing. She had no chance of snatching the crown, so it is best t

  6. Next Friday (the 29th)! Also I had no idea Fred Willard and Patrick Warburton are in this.

  7. Money. In all seriousness, I don't know how FF7 Remake would go down with someone who hadn't played the original version. Unlike, say, the recent Resident Evil remakes, which were presented as definitive versions to supersede the games on which they're based, FF7 Remake serves as more of a companion piece to the old PS1 game. Most of it is perfectly comprehensible on its own, but the stuff the game throws out at the end would be a lot more difficult to make sense of if you're not familiar with the source material.

  8. It's not the whole story of the original Final Fantasy 7, but it's own 40-60 hour story (telling the same, but also very different story. Also diving deeper into the lore). People keep dragging the game saying it's 'not complete' when it is. Do you (not you, but the general you) think Mass Effect 1 is lesser for having its story spread out among 3 titles? God Of War? Assassin's Creed? Uncharted? Kingdom Hearts? Etc... Think of it as the first part of an epic story. It's well worth playing, and this is coming from someone who didn't really care for the original.

  9. Sadly no Walter Goggins, but Pedro Pascal makes a pretty bad ass replacement.

  10. German Double - Tick! We ended up with a Division 2 side in the semis so reaching the cup final was easy enough, and Gnabry did the business in the final. We won the league with a game spare, which is annoying because we were about 12 points clear at one stage. We thrashed someone 9-0 though, which is lovely. Former champions Leverkusen ended up 11th. Liepzig also bottled it and came 9th. Germany is weird. Liverpool retained the Champions League again. Honestly, fuck them. Question of where to go next now. Jobs at Sevilla and Napoli have opened up and their both in the Europa League,

  12. Well according to Alexa Bliss, the WWE's testing is to take their temperature and ask if they've been behaving badly. I wouldn't be surprised if the NFL testing is the same but the doctor puts his fingers in his ears while they discuss their past fourteen days. NHL doesn't seem that reckless but Radko Gudas has a point about COVID against the Olympics.

  13. No swears or blood. Some females have cleavage. There are lots of generic "bad guys" and alluding to crimes, etc. There is nothing egregious in the game. The game is probably fine for an 8 year old, but depends on how comfortable you are as a parent. I would totally play with my oldest if she were better at games.

  14. Still undefeated through January and in the cup quarter finals. Who wants to guess which team I've got in the Champions League knockout stage? Also took the Wales job and they didn't sack me so fuck you, KHR.

  17. My childhood hatred of Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls means I'm never gonna give it a fair chance. Too petty for it. I've watched the first two episodes of The Great, which is the writer of The Favourite basically doing that exact same style and tone of storytelling but for Catherine the Great. I really like it, though it's on par for darkness with The Favourite if not potentially moreso, so I wouldn't recommend it for everyone. Elle Fanning is great as Catherine.

  18. I'm not having that. Bergkamp is the first player that really attracted me to football (brother was an Arsenal fan) and he was just a unique, artistic striker who scored some wonderful goals. Whether he meant this one or not, I don't think it's a foul on Dabizas. And regardless, what about this goal against Leicester? Or the famous control and finish against Argentina in the World Cup (complete with incredible Dutch commentary)? He was a fantastic football player. There have been a slew of absolute belters against Newcastle in the Premier League mind.

  20. Making a rule that says "you must have a minority as either your GM, head coach, OC or DC" is going to result in some guys whose ceiling was a positional coach (not because of their skill but because of their ownership) getting a chance to run a system. And from there they have a chance to get noticed and maybe get a head coaching gig (probably with another team). You're never going to see a league where the percentage of minority staff is the same as the percentage of minority players, but the closer you get, the better. And if owners can't have ONE minority among their four/five he

  23. Starling Marte’s wife passed from a heart attack, he announced yesterday. She was in the hospital for surgery on a broken ankle when it happened, apparently. They had just celebrated the 4th birthday of one of their children too.
