  1. Who else is watching Kruijswijk blow up Team Sky? This Alpe d'Huez stage is merciless.
  2. I have been listening to a lot of Oren Ambarchi projects as of late, specifically because his upcoming Hubris release is getting a remix Ricardo Villalobos. Ambarchis collab with Keiji Haino and Jim O'Rourke has probably been the best so far althought I liked the turntable music on Pale Calling, an experimental collaboration with Kassel Jaeger and James Rushford. Check that one out if you like Philip Jeck.
  3. The new Nicolas Jaar album Sirens. Album of the year contender for me, it is amazing.
  4. Listening to the soundtrack from The Childhood of a Leader, done by Scott Walker. It is pretty intense.

    No Man's Sky

I do not know exactly what glitch you are referring to but the game still runs like a bag a bricks. I turned off GSync and VSync and it helped but it still gets choppy from time to time. What I will commend No Man's Sky for, is that it is reminding me of how much I love the "space trading and space combat simulation" genre. I played the shit out of Freelancer back when it came out but for some reason I never really ventured beyond that game in the genre. Maybe it is time to crack open the X games and the Elite games.

@Cloudy I cannot wait for the new Cohen to drop. Also, completely unrelated, if anyone is into footwork and juke, the new DJ Earl album is fucking rad and it features synthwork from Oneohtrix Point Never.
  7. Would not surprise me if that turns out an actual lyric.

    No Man's Sky

@thatshortguy Hey yo. I acquired the game now. After taking an hour to get it working (some of the poorest optimization I have experienced in a long time), I have been poking around. It seems fine for now. I do find it a bit... dumb yet hilarious that the aliens you encounter just let you waltz into their house and they sit there, just chilling, watching you as you take all their stuff. For now, it seems like a good yet vastly glorified indie game. But it does have an amazing retro sci-fi look. I know I am going to spend hours, just looking at the environment. I absolutely love the aesthetics, even if the textures mostly look subpar.

    No Man's Sky

I really want to play Norman's Guy. But I do not have the shells to shoot at it. Someone buy it for me. However, it is really as devoid of content as people say?
  10. The new Sturgill Simpson continues to be fantastic.

    Music that is awful

Seeing people talking Red Hot Chili Peppers made me think.
  12. I sat down and binged the entirety of Rick and Morty season one. It was amazing and fun.

    Your five favorite bands

So Otomo Yoshihide and Pet Shop Boys are definitely on the list but beyond that, I am having trouble deciding on a structured list. I could namedrop David Bowie, Scott Walker, Ornette Coleman or Meshuggah easily but I would have a hard time listing them thoroughly, seeing as I have not listened to their complete discographies (yet). And then there is the matter of artists I am exploring now who might very well end up being personal favorites, like Keiji Haino, Albert Ayler, Merzbow, Fred Frith, Ground Zero and many more. My points is that having static favorites is very hard for me.
  14. I have been rummaging through Intakt Records 2016 catalogue for the past week or two. Some of it has been really good, like the Keïta, Niggli and Brönniman collaboration and Florian Egli's Weird Beard, both great examples of different spectrums of jazz music. If you have an interest in European jazz, check out Intakt Records. They have a really varied roster and a solid catalogue of releases. Stay clear of Pierre Favre DrumSights, though.
