  1. I was thinking about this over night after I posted.. but I think it's absolute bullshit that American sports can be seen overseas yet it's vey difficult for us to get Premeirship and all the European football leagues unless you signup for one Fox World over here. I got really interested in soccer, and wanted to see the best leagues play (MLS is just not on the level of skill that I like) and I was dissapointed to see that I'd have to shell out $40 a month just to see 2 or 3 games of worth a week. On free TV that number goes to like 2 games a month on Fox Sports Net, give or take 1 really hyped up game a year on ESPN.
  2. ugh, hockey while can back up it's statment as the fastest game on ice, has it's fair share of stoppages and TV timeouts. Quite annoying to see the game stopped because of an icing and the regular season really is nothing compared to the playoffs. NBA will give you fast paced action with stoppages near the end. The season is pretty entertaining, but it's similar to NHL in which the playoffs outshine the regular season. (And non blacks do like the NBA as you can tell by who sits in the arena every night but that's another topic) MLB is not a game I'd reccomend to the English, far too slow, and you have to be a fan of the matchups rather than a fan of just gameplay. The game is very repetitive and not fun to watch kinda like watching Soccer/Futbol and not knowing any players on the field and sucky announcers.. can make for a bad experience. The sport you should go for is NFL, not only do they have an equivalent in Europe (NFL Europe) but every game matters. Not too difficult of a sport to get into either.. as for me, I like the college version of each of these sports (except baseball) so that's what I prefer to watch.
  3. One time, I emailed my local Fox station about the syndication of the Simpsons and why they kept re-running over and over Season 10 - 13, instead of like 1 - 13, and they are like we only got a contract for those 3 years.. trust me, nothing more frustrating than watching 3 Seasons of Simpsons over the course of a year.. talk about repetitive.. Hell it's gotten to the point that where I live now, the Old, old classic ones are all like brand new because I forgot how they begun.
  4. Ok I'm seeing a lot of comments here so I guess I'll enter the fray for this season: 1. Jase f'ed Jase.. although he uncharactiscally showed loyalty way back from week 1 when he double crossed Dani, his papers were signed when he went on the block vs. Will. I really ignored his antics because they were happening all the time, but I think the most foolish thing he did based on the TV version was the deal of voting off floaters, when the slight chance he had of getting off the block belonged to getting the floaters vote. Bad form, but I'll give credit to Jase for atleast playing the game. 2.
  5. just got this game sunday and having a blast offline... online I can't even get a shot on goal, everyone is cold by now.. If anyne here has it on PC send me a PM and maybe we can set up a match for fun so I can keep getting better.
  6. I wouldn't put Jennifer up straight up... I would backdoor her... just so she can see how it's supposed to be done lol...
  7. yeah CBS is cutting out a lot... it's funny though, everyone seems to want to stir shit up, but don't they see this game this season is designed for the floaters? If you do anything somewhat on the radar you're out the house 2 weeks tops.. Except if you're James.. Ivette should get a MVP award for saving his ass and pretty much solidifying the final 4. Ivette and Beau are strong enough to stay together as a pair, including the fact that Beau is -200 on the radar. James gives Ivette a lifeline outside of the friendship, especially when that group implodes on itself eventually, and Maggie is smart enough to go where the power is as she has played a somewhat neutral game. James, Ivette, Beau, Maggie in the final 4 with James winning it.. the mistake of letting him stay in far too long is going to come back on everyone eventually. Especially when he gets to actually compete in competitions..
  8. Things are getting pretty nasty in the house.. making for an all intensive Tuesday Episode:
  9. Yes 82% indeed rocks... Kaysar actually has a better chance at winning now since Howie pretty much destroyed the 6. Everyone is going to be gunning for James this week, and Kaysar does not neccessarily have to join his old group since the house dynamics is starting to shift. I guarantee that before 2 weeks are up, we will see all the floaters and under the radar players be exposed. I'm just glad he's back because this game was lacking any type of strategy. And hopefully this time he'll muck his cards instead of showing all he has.
  10. Well tonight's episode just displayed the stupidity of Howie and how that group with Kaysar is a lost cause... Howie just freaking sold out his group to save his own hide, but rather than doing something that would keep you safe for a long time, he's probably only bought himself an extra 2 weeks. Seriously, when will they learn this is a numbers game, and you can't just sacrifice allies just because of a "deal" made with your enemy. James is a snake, but you just can't fuck up your numbers like that....
  11. I don't care what anyone says about ruthlessness... that fool Kaysar is fucking genious, this ranks up there in the top 3 BB plans ever factioned, and I'm impressed by how thought out it is... I mean as beautiful as that was to watch, just think how it is to actually be in there labbing it up? Brilliant! Kaysar fucking took a shitty hand (him and Janelle both outcasts) and made it an unbeatable full house. Now the only question is, will the others find a way to throw a monkey wrench to his plans because he has come out of the gates as the strongest player now and will have a big ass target on his back if anything slips up, or someone changes sides. Great TV
  12. It's ridiculous.. either name em' L.A. or name them Anaheim, but that half ass loophole name just doesn't fly. "The Dallas Cowboys of Arlington".. lmao
  13. Dallas continues to amaze me with the bonehead moves they are making.. I guess we were due after such success early on with Cuban. You simply do not trade away draft picks for the next 2 years. for Dampier and a guy you traded to G.S. in the first place. I could see the 1st for next season, but I keep feeling like we're going to need that pick down the road and it'll be gone.
  14. Yeah I have a lot of respect for Marvin especially after seeing how Adria betrayed him. Either way I think Adria played the game a bit too strong at this point and will be gone very soon.. Here's hoping Marvin finds a way to stay in, he's my favorite character of the season so far.
  15. OK as I've actually paid a lot of attention to the NFC East over this offseason so I have a lot of knowledge on the subject outside of the media frenzy over Quincy. Who wins the NFC East you ask Max? Well easily if it ain't broke don't fix it.. and if you do fix it, then expect awesome results. The Philadelphia Eagles have a chance to do something no team other than the Buffalo Bills of the early 90's did, and that's be so darn dominant in one facet of the game and then come up short not once, not twice, but 4 times in a row. The Eagles will win this division, there are no questions about that.. anyone who says otherwise is either a homer or should not be on this panel. What have the Eagles done beside lose two key corners? They solved the one hole that "everyone" said was bringing them down. You cry for WR's , well now you got the best in the game. You lose pressure up front, well you got the best DE free agent on the market. The Eagles are the only team in the East that are not in some sort of transition period and should have little difficulties reclaiming that division, but it'll be the last time. Will they be better? Of all the NFC East I think this is an unfair question, the entire division has gone from the easiest, and a 2 horse race to 10 wins, one of the lowest playoff qualifing win totals for the season, to now the holy grail, almighty "legendary" hall of fame coaches division. The wins Parcells snuck out last season may come for any of the 4 teams in the division now. I say they all cancel each other out.. Dallas - They have a hard hill to climb, I predict they will not get more than 10 wins.. but I don't forsee a losing season. People were quick to jump on bandwagons last season after predicting nothing but failure with Q at the reigns, I don't see why we should change our opinion now.. I think Slimg made a bad point referring to the Cowboys losing more games without Q.. I mean love him or hate him, Carter and Vinny are on the same level basically throwing wise. Screw the scrambling frequency or what not.. trust me, Quincy's leaving will have no impact on the Cowboys future or this season. Washington - Washington has revamped their offense greatly in the offseason by getting Portis. That should solve a lot of woes in a running department that suffered when they stupidly gave away Stephen Davis. However will they improve? I say no.. the Redskins were horrendous last season on Defense as well.. one could look at Dallas's sucess and say it should work in D.C. but the Boys had a Defense to fall back on, Washington still has younger less experienced players with Arrington and Smoot leading the way. Sean Taylor looked very nice in his first preseason game, but as a rookie you must hope he learns fast as he plays a position very vunerable to a team on defense. New York - No.. well, maybe so.. you can't get any worse, but the Giants are in horrible transition, they do not have the QB position solidified, and you know at some point ala Cincinatti, Kurt Warner is going to have to step down, more chemistry problems than you can shake a fist at, and a new head coach who is not on Parcells, Reid or Gibbs level, the Giants will lose, and then jump to Manning causing even more losses.. Philadelphia - Yes, they will improve that record and win the division by 2 games. Finally in the offseason who had the best one? Philadelphia had the greatest offseason, when you're that close to the SB and you actually add the part you're looking for and not just that maybe a top 5 possesion WR in the game. You've done your homework. Washington made a good draft selection for the "future".. New York drafted good for the future.. Dallas's draft picks won't even come into play into 1st round "next season".. but T.O. and the Freak come ready and equipped right now.. you can't beat that.
  16. I don't get it.. what is making this different than most pre orders?
  17. that's pretty much it.. I'm still reading live feeds so I can piece the "real" story all together. The main reason Jase fell for this is because he is to smart for his own good. Had he just saved the long speech over nothing with Nic he would have seen right through this. BUt he thinks he is safe only because of his talking ability which isn't the case. I think Marvin is dumb to have used this idea this early in the game. But better to get Jase out now because he probably wouldn't vote for him regardless and Marvin may can pull something off.. he's my underdog to win this thing.
  18. [OOC: Hopefully we get the topic finished before a trade actually happens ] Ok Around the horn to me, Max you crazy little man.. First of all I must say the New Jersey Nets are possibly one of the worst ran teams in the NBA in my opinon. Throwing away a good coach who hadn't proven anything wrong other than having to meet up with a superior team, getting rid of one of your better younger stars in Kittles/Martin, and now pretty much giving Kidd an excuse to leave NJ. Pitiful.. but on to topic Jason Kidd still can go in my opinion and he has that winners desire Max. The man has been easily the best PG in the game for let's see 10 years and still no rings. There's no way he stays in NJ unless he decides then and there he rather retire a rich man than with a ring. Jason Kidd is not getting any younger however and has already shown after stops in Phoenix and now NJ that he will not stay just for money. So who does he wind up at, I believe the best situation for him is between L.A. and Dallas. There is a chance he may wind up S.A. but only if he wants his minutes hugely reduced whereas if he went to the other 2 teams he'd be playing full time minutes. I want to say Dallas, but my heart and common sense tell me L.A. L.A. has just made a trade on the 6th sending away hated Laker Gary "S." Payton.. this opens the door for Kidd to step right into Yellow and Purple shoes.. It's a good fit so I got Kidd to L.A. in a close finish at the end with Dallas's Mark Cuban once again finding no way to get rid of the aged players (Stackhouse and Latener) that he signed in the first place. Keep in mind though, it'll be close.. don't get me wrong, Dallas has PG Jason Terry from Atlanta to bait NJ into maybe trading for, but L.A.'s starlight will attract Kidd.
  19. It's not a double standard it's called respect.. almost similar to it being good ethics not to talk about someone behind their back. I for one enjoyed the Rick James skits but as somone said some of these younger cats only know him because of that. If a movie was made on him, now I'd rather it be done the right way so that they won't remember him as some running gag. That's what made the skit work, If Chappelle had just been blasting him then it would have been funny but it would have been dry humor or even distastefull. But having James himself come on and join in giving his side of things made it gold. The same would have gone for the movie. With him now dead, I just think it would be distasteful to make fun of the guy because this time he wouldn't be around to defend himself if things got "ablibbed". Rip Rick James..
  20. eh, don't make it such a big deal.. he'll get braids.. same as McNabb did when the Eagles failed to make the superbowl.
  21. Yes that did suck, as much as I hated the monopoly they had in the house, atleast when the power shifted, them winning would have made for an interesting finish.. now it won't get good for another 4 weeks when the girl alliance begins voting themselves off.. all the men in the house are done. And yes, Nic would vote her brother off because she does not care for him "gamewise".
