Didn't know him much as a baseball announcer, I knew him more as the guy behind NFL Films. He had a great voice, and will be missed.

Not sure if this deserved a new thread, but.. I've never had any online issues with any other games. I've played Madden, NBA 2k9, NCAA Football, etc. and have never had issues connecting online. For some reason, I cannot play MLB 08 or 09 online. I can connect to the servers to download rosters and connect to games, but as soon as the loading screens finish the game runs smoothly for about 5 seconds then i get the "Traffic Delay" message and I get disconnected every time. Is there anything I can do to fix this? I just find it odd that I can play any other game online but The Show.

It must suck to be a Cowboy fan right now. Time for a Titans/Dolphins AFC Championship game.

I read this story on Rivals, and wanted to see what you guys thought. They aren't in a major BCS conference, so the best they can get is an At-Large bid, but right now there are so many teams that are playing so well, that they will probably get the nod over Boise State

So the Titans just had a great 2nd half turnaround after being down 14-3 at the half winning 24-14. The Titans aired it out again, and beat them throwing the ball and playing superb defense. I'm interested to see what excuses the Titan haters on this board use now.

The Titans remaining schedule looks like this @ JAX 4-5 vs. NYJ 6-3 @ DET 0-9 vs. CLE 3-6 @ HOU 3-6 vs. PIT 6-3 @ IND 5-4 Combined W/L: 27-36 So even if the Titans go undefeated, people here are going to use the same argument that "they don't have many quality wins, and are untested come playoff time". Do I think the Titans will go undefeated? Probably not, I think they'll slip up a game or two, I hope I'm wrong, however. But the Titans proved yesterday that they can win a football game throwing for 289 and rushing for only 20 yards, and having a 3 game lead in the AFC doesn't suck either.

Well, looks like Cleveland fans are calling for Romeo Crennel to be fired, and I don't blame them. Last night, Brady Quinn was solid, but the quarterback wasn't part of the problem, that defense is just AWFUL.

I still think Texas is sitting pretty at number 4. Bama still has to play LSU and Florida, I think they will lose one of those games. Tech has to go through the same gauntlet Texas just went to. OK State and Oklahoma on the road, I bet they lose one of those. If that's the case, the Longhorns will pass Tech in the rankings despite losing to them. The computers really like Texas. I think the computers will favor a 1 loss SEC or Big XII team before they go to an undefeated Penn State or a 1 loss USC.

I don't really understand why either team would do this, but whatever. Hitting the panic button early much?
