Yeah, apparantly he feels threatened by the possibility of Ballack signing for them so maybe their is a slight chance. Left wing is definitely our priority in the summer.

That was really funny. I think the clip was off MOTD2 so you would've seen it on that.

I think they are good, but all the hype is really pissing me off. Flicked thourght the NME the other day (the issue with the best 100 ever British albums), and the Arctic Monkeys album was 5th. I find that a load of bullshit. I think it's a good album for now but I very much doubt that people will still be listening to it in 5/10 years time like some of the classics in that list.

Yeah, he's supposed to be pretty good. Suprised he went Pompey and no other bigger clubs were interested. I fancy Pompey to stay up now with all the signing they've made. Also, Arsenal have sold Bentley to Blackburn on a permanent and Owusu-Abeyie has joined Spartak Moscow. I though this Owusu-Abeyie was supposed to be the best youngster coming through at Arsenal. Only saw bits of him so can't really comment. I think Bentley still has some potential and it's good he has found a decent team where he can get first team football.

We are in discussions with Pompey over bringing Matt Taylor to the Lane. Not many updates on the Murphy situation although a few seem to think it's a done deal. Just have to wait and see.

Michael Brown looks set to move to Fulham for about £1.5m. Fair price I suppose. When he played he did his job, but unfortunately is way behind in the pecking order. According to The Times, we are going to launch a late bid for Danny Murphy. Have to admit I was a bit disappointed when he didn't come last summer, but I feel he'll be a lot more tempted now considering the position we are in. The other bit of news is from The Independent, they say that Athletico Madrid have told us that £20m will be enough for us to get Fernando Torres, although it will probably have to wait until the summer to be done. What a deal that would be! Although I'm sure we know that we've been linked with several big name players before only for nothing to happen so we will just have to wait and see.
