  1. Just came back from DDP's Q+A in London where someone asked him about the whole Scott Steiner deal in WCW. He said that people can rub each other the wrong way sometimes and things just blow up, but that him and Scotty are friends again and have been for a while. May want to change his relationship with Scott from Dislike to Friendship or just remove it altogether.
  2. I didn't mind Out Of Time, although it doesn't compare to anything from pre-self entitled album STP. The DeLeos were awesome with Richard Patrick in Army of Anyone. Can't they persuade him to do another AoA album after Filter's tour? At least he can sing STP songs if they need to - although it's probably because they still want to sing old STP songs and have a vocalist committed only to one band.
  3. This looks great LJC. Glad that some of these old EWR scenarios are getting done over, would be useless myself at doing it, but really appreciate people who have the knowledge, knack and time to update them
  4. Reboot is still absolutely amazing, will love that show till I die. Best animated series ever created imo. Freakazoid looking back on it was a great show, and there's some great references in there you wouldn't get as a kid. And Zzzap! is great for old memories sake to watch on YouTube. Ah childhood *sighs*
  5. Random Morrissey tracks, Sunny atm.

    Funeral Song

Why not just rig your coffin with tear gas? I don't want to force them into crying like a corrupt police force, just nudge em into it. Honestly I'm not sure I want a funeral, I mean do I have to lay there dead in a coffin while people glare over and talk about me and stuff. And in a church.

    Funeral Song

'The Stars Are In The Sky Tonight' by Eels, beautifully sad song and I want EVERYONE crying hahaha.
  8. Mudhoney's 'Blindspots' from Under A Billion Suns was a much better track than 'It Is Us' which they released as a single. The sax was awesome and although the lyrics of 'It Is Us' weren't terrible, describing the return you had in 2002 in a song released in 2006 was just a tad of an odd choice as a first single. I think nearly every other track on that album was better than that. Similarly, they should have released 'Inside Job' off Since We've Become Translucent, which was such an underrated album, even now. But ya, either way the Mudsters were unlikely to get in the Top anything so either way lol. Although I've noticed they have a ton newer fans, at least round where I live, randomly.
  9. Whiskey and the Holy Ghost by Mark Lanegan is my fav chillout/sleeping album

    Happy Songs...

Shiny Happy People by R.E.M. haha
  12. Some old Kinks tunes atm. Good stuff
  13. Ya that was The Pogues quote from NME. Think it's quite rediculous tbh, simply because 1. in the songs context MacColl is singing this to a straight lover of hers played by MacGowan, 2. it's sung rather charmingly rather than offensively imo and 3. they're Irish-American characters which would have spoke that way. I don't find it offensive and if there is a gay rights backlash NOT led by Peter Thatchell I'd be pretty surprised. I've spoke to people on gay forums about this and all of em find it rediculous. Peter Thatchell's done a lot of great things for gay rights, putting himself in the firing line, but just like everything nowadays, there are lines. This steps into Political Correctness boundaries.
  14. I like the name Izzavision. Sounds good in French too. Seriously though this has got to be good for Gaming in breaking Electronic Arts' hold on the market. And of course good for Guitar Hero which is way more important where I'm coming from.
  15. How could they schedule a clash between Portishead and Thurston, that's criminal. I would go but, 1. don't have the money and 2. I'm still in withdrawal for not being able to go last years which had the best lineup period (except Mudhoney, that would have made it a tad better than amazing). I still got to see Dino and Sonic elsewhere anyway so I'm not too bothered about missing that one. I will go one year though, maybe next if Uni doesn't get in the way of things. It's a sizable amount of money.

    Hallelujah

Ari Hest's or Jeff Buckley's. I really dislike Wainwright's arrangement of it.
  17. Mark Lanegan'll do the trick anytime
  18. L7, 7 Year Bitch, The Gits, Babes In Toyland, Drain STH, Snake River Conpsiracy and Queen Adreena are a few from my CD collection, some you probably know of, you could look into.
  19. I'd like to see The Thermals, Dinosaur Jr (or perhaps Sebadoh and J Mascis and the Fog separate as that seems to be more likely with Sebadoh now going on tour), Mudhoney, Sonic Youth (if they aren't already in there) and the Meat Puppets or something in there. Also according to Wikipedia and his website, John Lydon is working on a new solo album. Yeah that's all the biased additions I can think of atm.
  20. Dinosaur Jr. - Beyond (9/10) The original lineup's come back together and the album sounds so much like the past but at the same time is very much geared towards modern day. The guitars are loose and the style of songs is much more varied than previous Dino efforts all of this making it a sad final album for Dinosaur Jr. who can still rock with the best of them. As for notable tracks, depends really what you're after. "Been There All The Time" (cause I saw the video and couldn't help rockin along to it and now it's in my head), "We're Not Alone", Lou Barlow's "Back To Your Heart" (which sounds more like Sebadoh Jr.), "It's Me", "Crumble" and "What If I Knew" (which is a great cap off to the album) are the songs I'm immediatly liking...ya I really am loving this album lol. Definitely recomended to any fan of Dino's past work and any new fans out there who love some pure fuzzy guitar awesomeness.
  21. Hmm off the top of my head Ed Byrne, Rik Mayall, Bill Bailey, Dylan Moran and Eddie Izzard. This Australian guy called Steve Hughes is pretty good as well, found him through Byrne's MySpace. Mayall however is my fav comedian On Lenny Henry, I love his comedy when he's being spontaneous like on Comic Relief. However, when he plans his material it isn't as funny and usually hits the same topics. He's still as good in that regard to others, just not as good as his random self.
  22. I concur with nearly everyone else in this thread. Cornell can do much better without Audioslave, it's where IMO his worst material was made in comparison to his Solo and Soundgarden stuff. They just didn't gel properly, they were always compensating for each others sound. RATM reunion sounds good to me. I like em, though I only listen to a small selection of their stuff so it doesn't repeat on me too much Audioslave should just be left to rest and I guess Cornell after he's done his solo work could possibly form a new band that he'd gel better with? As he says himself, Soundgarden reuniting looks unlikely and would probably be disappointing. Cameron looks settled in Pearl Jam not to be moving anywhere and Cornell's voice sure can't do what it could (although it's still awesome).
  23. w00t awesome, Zach De La Rocha back in the limelight again, hopefully after he's finished his solo work or even if he doesn't I don't really care as long as RATM gets back together for good. Audioslave needs to just quit...Cornell rules just not with them. Hopefully he either sticks to solo stuff, forms a new band or ya know...perhaps...something with Soundgarden. But that'll probably muck up the bands legacy so best leave it to rest, and I doubt Matt Cameron would be willing to give up his job with Pearl Jam.
  24. Hmm let me see, supergroups hmm... Mudhoney, just with a slight change of Flea from the Peppers on Bass (no offense to Matt Lukin) But a true supergroup... Vocals - Mark Lanegan Guitar/Vocals - Jerry Cantrell Bass - Robert DeLeo Second Guitar - Dean DeLeo Drums - Matt Cameron And why am I so greedy on Vocalists and Guitarists? Cause I can
