  1. Another bump... my bad. Those last like three or four episodes were intense! I'm up at 5:26 in the morning after watching like five straight on my computer. I'm not sad to see Jackie go... I was soooo confused when Beaver ended up being the killer. But I guess it kind of makes sense, it's still so extreme though, I can't imagine anyone going to those lengths just to cover something like that up. The only other question I have I guess is about the whole thing with Duncan at the end. Echolls got shot, but why by that dude? And what does Duncan have to do with it. I hope next season is more like the last few episodes of this season, with less of the stupid high school drama and more of the mystery stuff I guess. If I wanted drama I'd watch the OC or something like that. Oh well...
  2. I started a new game after not being able to play for a few months due to school kicking me in the nuts. I decided to go with Norwich... and they are quality. They come with two Championship quality forwards and some solid defenders. The only thing that needed shoring up was the midfield, which I did pretty well. We won the Championship and got promoted, and it looked like we were going to have a comfortable mid table finish after not losing in the first four games, but then we went on like a 5 game losing streak that saw us in 17th place. Then my two left midfielders go out... so I have no one to start there. I switch to an attacking 4-3-3 and it's killing so far... 5-0 against Sunderland and 3-0 against Birmingham. So we'll see if we can avoid the drop this season.
  3. If you like JEW, you'll definitely love the Get Up Kids they have a ton of good songs, also Motion City Soundtrack is quality as well.
  4. The two bands I can think of off the top of my head made the transition from more poppy punk to more alternative music I guess. Brand New is one that I'm sure people will go with right away. Their first album was about as pop as can be, as a lot of the songs were catchier and complained about girls and whatnot. Then Deja Entendu came out and it shocked me how much they changed. Their lyrics got darker, and their sound got edgier I guess. I think they made the transition well, and enjoy both albums just as much... though it's strange to think of them as the same band. Another band that did a similar thing is the band Midtown. They're first couple albums were again pretty much straight pop punk. Good stuff. Then their new album came out and it was pretty good, but definitely not as good as their old stuff. Darker music for sure.
  5. He's pretty solid I think. I really liked Original Pirate Material and I know I listened to the other cd, but I didn't like it that much. I'm going to see him in Chicago in June though for some music festival. Him and Bloc Party are going to be playing... and those are the only two artists I recognized. Should be awesome though. I'm interested to see how the beats translate live.
  6. Anything by Marilyn Manson pretty much... but the Beautiful People pretty much just scares me because my friend loves that song and puts it on almost all his mix CDs. So when I'm just listening to one of his CDs that song pops up out of nowhere and I hate it... because it scares me.
  7. Yeah, THUG 2 was really poor. Especially after the first one was so good, I don't know how they managed to ruin it. I rented it, played about an hour or so and then put it in a box and let it sit there until it had to go back.
  8. Only three bands I'm really excited for this year: Motion City Soundtrack, the Bouncings Souls, and Saves the Day. When I first saw Saves the Day I immediately thought it was going to be Story of the Year, I always get those too mixed up... SotY is terrible. This year isn't that great in terms of good bands, but there aren't so many terrible ones: Yellow Card, Fall Out Boy... that crap I was subjected to. No Dropkick Murphys or Floggin Molly this year either... sucky.
  9. Me and my friends saw like two episodes one night during last summer. It is one crazy show, the best part of it is Beat Kids.
  10. Ugh... my game crashes everytime I'm about to play Huddersfield in the FA Cup. So I had to start a new game... dammit.
  11. I finished my first season with Plymouth barely avoiding relegation. I was one point away from being relegated with about 5 games left, but I rattled off four straight wins and took 18th. My contract expired and they offered me a two year extension which I gladly accepted. Offseason went very well, as I signed some experienced players. Robbie Fowler came from Man City for 1.1 million (I'm playing with American Money, so yeah...), and Olympiakos released Rivaldo on free transfer so I picked him up. They're both terribly slow, but they finish just about everything. Also Lamberto Zauil signed on free as well. I switched to a 4-3-3, because I have another QUICK striker in Tamas Priskin I got from a team in the Hungarian league. Next season started and I was expected to fight off relegation again, and I'm managing to fight for the playoffs as I'm in 7th place a little more than halfway through. Again, injuries are just killing me this season, as I've had my top five strikers each out for at least a month, but they're all over 10 goals through about 20 league appearances apiece. I had one of the most exciting games of my life though this season. I had already made my three substitutions with about 75 minutes left, and I my defender of course gets injured. Then about two minutes later Another one of my defenders gets a red card in the box. They score on a penalty with about 10 minutes left. I'm playing a 3-3-2 and Rivaldo gets an amazing cross in the 90th minute and score to end the game in a 1-1 tie. It was sweet.
  12. I started my first game as unemployed and got job offers from Bristol and Mansfield to begin with, and I wanted the Bristol job but couldn't figure out how to accept it, so I rejected it. It took another five months before I got another offer from Stockport, which I accepted. The team was a mess though, like a million in the hole. I finished the season in like 18th place in League Two. Then I pretty much had to sell a lot of my better players and my good youth players all got hurt. Then my computer crashed, making me lose like two months of game time. So I started a new game with my squad Plymouth. Apparently their fans weren't too happy about them signing an unknown 30 year old American... fuck them. Haven't got far enough to actually do much though. Injuries are killing me so far though.
  13. Meh, it looks just like MVP 2005 with college teams and aluminum bats. Although MVP was really good the past two years, I can't justify paying any money for this game unless someone was a big college baseball fan. The ESPN integration looks like it's mostly so you can update scores or whatever, but you can do that while listening to the radio or whatever. I also wonder how that affects the gameplay rate. At least you got me interested in seeing if MLB 2k6 will be any good at all. It better be if they felt the need to grab the exclusive rights...
  14. I agree, it's a pretty solid show. Sucks when you have to tell your friends to wait because you're watching a show where the main character's a girl though... I think the last couple have been re-runs anyways... at least I hope so, because I haven't been watching either
  15. If you have a social life to begin with, WoW won't make you a nerdy kid. I used to play WoW a bit (I'm too poor and my laptop is too crappy to throw down 15 bucks a month for) and it was fun. I played a lot sometimes, but if someone called me and asked to do something I wouldn't say no, I'd go out. Just do what you normally do.
  16. To be fair, she did say she'd get him any drink he wanted.
  17. I just started getting this error when I moved up to college. I can get it to work sometimes, but I have to fiddle with it for about 10 minutes for it to start to read it. And it won't finish the loading screen sometimes when I play NHL 2k6, so that sucks too.
  18. "My Brother is Gay" by the Vandals is kind of about Christmas... "Father Christmas" by the Kinks There's some song by Jack Black and Sum 41 that's okay. and yes the Vandals do have a whole CD of Christmas songs and most of them are good.
  19. I think John Cena wrote this one for him.
  20. That last picture is too sexy Hugar...
  21. Managers are in soccer and baseball, Head Coaches are in football. Dunno, my main point is that you're going to buy it either way if you like it. No big deal though really.
