  1. Me and Snowball just finished Gears of War 3. That's a very silly game. I liked the bit where we shot some aliens, but ask me to name a single plot point or more than two characters and I'll just stare blankly into the middle distance.
  2. Indiana Jones good.
  3. Ghostface Games, reporting for duty!
  4. I'm down!
  5. Yeah, definitely going to have it parental controlled as much as possible. He's got a Switch and I know my sister is pretty shit hot on the controls he has on that. Obviously it's probably a bit more in depth with an Xbox, but still doable.
  6. Gaming parents of EWB! I'm giving my Xbox Series S to my nephew for Christmas, he's 6. He has a Switch and loves it, so he already knows how to play games and stuff and I figure this is his next step. What are some good games for 6 year olds? He really wants Fortnite because he's seen it on YouTube, I think that's probably alright for 6 year olds, right?
  7. Is the console version of Persona 4 Golden worth £8? (Just waiting for @Ruki and @stokeriño to yell yes at me to justify me purchasing it)
  8. Gonna edit it with all my thoughts ever now.
  9. Attaboy. That's seven games. I said one. Obviously the whole idea of things like this is an impossible task. There's no such thing as a 'best' anything, it's entirely subjective and has far too many moving parts to name one thing. But that's the fun of asking it in such a manner. Tetris isn't better than Final Fantasy VII, which isn't better than Crash Bandicoot 3, which isn't better than World of Warcraft, which isn't better than Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, which isn't better than The Last of Us, which isn't better than Microsoft Flight Simulator, which isn't better than Tetris. It's the same with wrestler and movie and band (not EWB poster, that is objectively @LL!). The whole idea of these threads was to get people to answer instinctively rather than having any serious rational thought behind them. I always think it's a fun thought exercise. It probably isn't, but I like seeing people's answers when they're forced to just say one thing. Also everyone who made joke answers are cowards, even more so than those who named multiple things.
  10. You did Soundgarden twice.
  11. Alright, listen up fuckos. Just answer the damn question. If you wanna go into explicit detail with reams of text, feel free. If you just want to give a one name answer and say 'Neil Young' you can do that too. What you can't do is give multiple answers. If you give multiple answers, fuck you. Who's the best artist/band of all time?

What's the best video game ever made?

  14. From what I can gather, Xenogears is the original, directed by Tetsuya Takahashi and is owned by Square. Due to development issues, Square decided not to continue the franchise and so Takahashi left and started Monolift Soft, before teaming with Bandai Namco to produce Xenosaga. Apparently there's no direct connection between the two franchises short of a bunch of references and shared elements. The first game did alright, but the second sold poorly so Namco basically cut a bunch of budget and made Takahashi rush the third game. Takahashi and Monolith then teamed with Nintendo for Xenoblade, which once again isn't directly connected but shares a lot of the same DNA, and has, by all accounts, been a bunch more successful. Knowing your love of FF and Persona, you would adore Xenogears.
