  1. Is it bring your child to work day? That is the only way I see that happening. Pretty sure even the Washington...Generals fancy they could beat the Pistons.
  2. Do what I do 2 seconds in to Final Jeopardy! Strongly Declare, "Got it!" and then sit quietly for the rest of the music and make a wild guess.
  3. It is the weirdest timeline with the Canucks being the best team in Canada. Also seeing the triple stacked dumpster fires of Oily Maple Flames is a delight. Because everyone knows the Canucks have a dedication to finding new and creative ways to break their fans' hearts.
  4. Amazing ending! Yet infuriating. Boston fans are insufferable enough, they don't deserve the "first team to rebound from an 0-3" deficit. The title is Denver's to lose though.
  5. See also Thunder, OKC. *** The East is much stronger. The West's best chance is if the Eastern teams batter one another.
  6. My point being that Durant is not the team leader people want to believe him to be. I glanced at their roster and knew Booker is a star, Ayton is a good to great player and Paul was a star (and chasing a ring.)
  7. I have come to the conclusion that Durant is not a leader but a lethal second-in-command. Phoenix might be "Durant's team" but it will take Paul or Booker to lead them to a title.
  8. I do not pay attention to any All Star Game but this young man best enjoy the ride he is about to enjoy. https://www.sportsnet.ca/nba/article/mac-mcclung-now-the-nba-dunk-champ-wasnt-an-unknown/
  9. I watched Soylent Green for the first time. It was dystopian in a way I doubt modern movies would attempt. I finally know how Soylent Green is made!
  10. I thought Kansas City had debuted a new name (and gimmick) on the biggest stage of their sport and appreciated the cultural insight to make such a monumental chage. (By dropping one letter.)
  11. Ah... the New Brooklyn Nets... where big money fading superstars go for one last big payday, rehabilitation and then opt for one last run at another organization. Never change Brooklyn.
  12. Has the Suberb Owl started yet?
  13. Ah ha ha. lolujo is great. This post is positively emerald green from 9 to 5. A 9to5'er clearly enviously of someone who found a way to make a living off playing a video game. 😁
  14. Out of morbid curiosity. How much would Everton fetch as a Championship club? £50 million? I know the chasm between Premier and Championship prestige is vast but any speculations on the impact on a valuation? Does the club have a Relegation Release Fee?
  15. I love Groups G & H. C'mon Comoros!
  16. Fermented camel and goat milk, respectively.
  17. It is an interesting group. Not a vaunted Group of Death but a Collection of Mysteries. How will Canada perform on the world stage under the brightest of spotlights? Does Belgium put things together for a deep run? Does Croatia recapture the magic of 4 years ago? Does Morocco upset the stories as they are a good but underappreciated side? Like I said. As long as Canada scores, I will be happy. Anything beyond that is but unexpected blessings.
  18. As one of the remnants who remember Mexico 86... I have but one dream for WC 2022... For Canada to score a goal. That is it. Everything will be bonuses after that. I would have taken Hutchinson as a mentor if he could not play. No one deserves to be there more. Canada Soccer survived 2 decades (at least) of some of the worst management possible. It was undiluted incompetence. Atiba remained loyal to the team through it all. I also suspect some Canadians to empress enough for moves to bigger clubs for larger sums. David & Buchanan almost certainly. Perhaps Johnston, Larin & Koné (if he plays.) *** This time the team didn't have to fund raise to get enough money for travel to the World Cup... all the way to Mexico. Good thing it wasn't in exotic footballing place like Spain(82) or Italy(90).
  19. Was keeping Butler even an option? I am not an avid 76ers follower but I got the impression that Butler didn't want to share the court with players not up to his intensity level or be seen as anything other than the #1 selection. But looking back, if they could have kept Butler and molded Embiid and the rest of the team around his workrate and competitive fire they either would have won a title OR ripped open a hole in the space-time continuum and travelled back to the early 90s and out bad boyed the Pistons.
  20. I will let SDM go into (far) more detail but basically yes but also no. Last year was supposed to be an abberration and with the team healthy were expected to be playoff possibilies. Alas, no one informed the team that scoring was required and they are on a goal-strike to protest... erm... something. I think.
  21. Well of course Roma got romper-stompered... they had to play TWO teams. Bodo AND Glimt. Not even the Special Lil One could overcome that. Roma did manage to get one goal for the special one... so there is that.
  22. Men with Brooms! Greatest curling movie ever!* *Might be only curling movie ever. "A tap with authority."
  23. Realizing that Jerome from Robson and Jerome... Seen here... the blonde Would go on to become someone much less smiley... and more stabby...
