  1. Gay For Johnny Depp > Killshit Engage. Make the right decision.
  2. Korn's first album is great and definetely the peak for Nu-Metal. Their cause hasn't been helped by the fact that they stayed together and kept releasing albums to diminishing returns. And they were also responsible for making Limp Bizkit big. That is unforgivable. Linkin Park are just sub-standard U2. On Skummy's point about if a band released Bohemian Rhapsody nowadays it would be rediculed, falls down on the fact that Muse appear to be a carbon copy of Queen without the apartheid support. The 'drizzling shits' that passes for Rn'B, rap and dance surely follows what Gazz is saying about Paramore et al. People listening to it will be turned onto Blackalicious, The Roots and Fuck Buttons eventually. Maybe.
  3. Matt Groening is a member of The Residents, allegedly (so not ) So he could be performing but probably not...
  4. There's a few bands I want to see there. I really should have gone last year when Mike Patton/Melvins were curating. I can't see ATP doing a better line-up than that. I should definetely go to one of these some day. The problem always is finding people to go with, because of the niche choice of bands, as well as the price. I have to pay for a chalet as well as my tickets? Bleh. Its probably cheaper to drive there from my parents each day. Who decides on when these events are held? Surely hosting one a weekend after another is bizarre business practice? Weren't the summer ones close together too?
  5. From what I understand of the matter (from reading about it years ago), Nicholson's agreed to his house being used for auditions/screen tests etc. and wasn't actually there at the time. I'm not posting it for the newsworthy apect, just from the aspect that I'm surprised there is a lot of support for the guy.
  6. Read this and the other stuff on the BBC website if you want He's been arrested on charges from 30 years ago, when he admitted sleeping with a 13 year old girl. He's made many good films. He's also committed acts of paedophilia. He received a standing ovation at the Oscars. He appears to have much support from his contemporaries in France. He also fucked a child. Why exactly are people opposed to him having to stand trial?

    RIP Roc...

That's such a shame. Roc Raida was one helluva a DJ. Won the DMC Championships and everything. The world's a lesser place.
  8. Oh my... If you want to see it, there is/was a link on the singles wikipedia page.
  9. Please God no. The last film was an overlong piece of shit.
  10. New Weezer cover art has been revealed. Brace yourself... Besides the already shitty songs been announced and heard on the internet, it has 'Can't Stop Partying' on it, which was on one of River Cuomo's solo compilation things and is actually quite good. The rest will probably be quite shitty but that is to be expected with any new Weezer.
  11. 1. Weezer ( ) 2. Faith No More 3. The Roots 4. Minor Threat 5. Wu-Tang Clan 6. Therapy? 7. Meshuggah 8. Converge 9. Beastie Boys 10. Blink-182 Something like that.
  12. Broadway Calls are pretty good. Go to the gig.
  13. He was also in Crazy Town, who, on my inspection of their wikipedia page, have another deceased member. I'm starting to worry for Shifty
  14. If I was to get an Xbox 360, I should get the 60GB (Premium?) one rather than spending money on the presumably superflous Elite version, right?

    Sequel Songs

    Jay-Z: Friend or Foe/Friend or Foe '98
  16. Well... I went into SDS this morning who are meant to be selling tickets and they seemed totally oblivious to the matter. I can understand if the tickets weren't on sale yet, but the manager hadn't even heard about it. It seems odd advertising a gig when you haven't even approached the apparent ticket vendor about it.
  17. Air Shitwest, more like... :(

  18. So... Ash are doing some cool things now. They are releasing a single every two weeks for the next year, and are touring the British Isles going A-Z. Read more about here. Shame they've been rubbish recently, but still its pretty cool. They haven't put any tour dates up yet, but according to the Jersey Live programme that I currently have in front of me they're playing Jersey on Halloween. 'J' for Jersey. Fuck knows where else they're playing though. Turns out Jersey isn't as musically barren as it looked on first appearance. Additionally they're playing a club that has banned fatties, so no sweaty fat people for me to knock into.
  19. Do you reckon 'Andy Warhol' will be a David Bowie cover?
  20. Where did you hear that? That would suck. Yeah they can be annoying when your stuck behind someone with one, but then again it does make the atmosphere of the crowd a lot better when you watch the highlights on the TV and they make an excellent meeting spot to find your mates. "Alright mate, where about's are you?" "Im by a geezer with a big pink flag, to the left of the stage. Can you see it?" "Ahhh yeah i can see it. I try and squeeze my way over there now". Simples. Here.
  21. Flags are banned at Reading.
  22. Why would you name a band Booty Luv, unless it was meant to be a Maynard James Keenan/Ministry-esque parody name?
  23. But if they were good, they could have used them as a way to help sell tickets. :/ Hopefully you're right.
  24. The secret bands are going to be shit aren't they? Duane Gill & the Gillbergs or summat.
  25. Pretty much entirely and only about organized religion. I've been advising people who are having trouble digesting the thing has a whole to listen to the 3 acts on their own. Each one stands out on its own better when you're not comparing it to the rest of the album, as tracks will get lost in the shuffle and whathaveyou. ...so to enjoy the album, you shouldn't listen to the whole album?
