Anyone watched Boat Story? Currently on episode three and honestly think it may be one of my favourite BBC shows in years.

I'm surprised I haven't heard more about Dark Winds. Only six episodes a season, deeply atmospheric and yet easy to watch, and very likeable characters. Plus the cast is ace. I'm four episodes deep and loving it.

For many years my attitude was not to start a war, but anyone who attacked I would make sure I eliminated them. These days I am much more protectionist of my area and resources, and I'll generally attack the biggest dog in the fight because there's nothing worse than being late game and not having the military to prevent an opponent reaching literally any other kind of victory. I believ Civ 6 claimed to have fixed that late game "wait to win" style by shaking things up, but I've never got far enough to find out because 5 remains the absolute Emperor of the series for me.

Sick of how God awful Roll20 is and yet for some reason it's the go to. Has anyone got any alternatives? I just gave TablePlop's demo a quick whirl and that seems kind of cool.

Civ II for me, buit I tend to set it on Prince and just have an even playing field because they've never mastered making it actually more difficult with the AI, they instead just give the AI headstarts, which feels cheap.

I don't get the hate for Love and Thunder. It wasn't as good as Ragnarok, but it was fine.

The Rookie Feds backdoor pilot episode may be the worst one in the series. Nothing about it makes me want to watch the actual show. Simone is utterly lacking as a character and has nothing compelling about her. The Rookie isn't exactly golden TV, but it's main character has always been a humble and charismatic everyman with a interesting and likeable cast. Simone is obnoxious (her first scene is drifting a car in an FBI car training session which she isn't meant to do, her second is being in a massive JTF meeting and laughing and talking down her superiors) and none of the other FBI members are anything other than bland. Shame, because I like Niecy Nash, but this one clearly isn't for me.

Someone on Reddit shared a vague theory about Rey intending to have been Anakin reincarnated but was vetoed, and I actually kind of dig the idea even if the theory isn't massively thought out.

I wish I was better at understanding Paradox games because they seem so fun, but for some reason I just never can get into them

Maybe they didn't return to full form, but they gave a cromulent ending and were compelling before the end. Homeland is a big one for me...
