  1. The same group is also doing Attack on Titan: Abridged as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDm5TwfPg3I
  2. Nisekoi is quite good. I went and watched it after reading this and found myself quite entertained by it. The premise is very layered but the people who are in charge of the show did a fantastic job of setting it all up. The art is really interesting too. It's one of the brighter animes I've ever watched and they go out of their way to make it very colorful and happy looking.
  3. Here's what I got so far for what I'm watching this season. Buddy Complex: Not really game changing or anything like that, but I enjoyed it a lot. There's a lot of everything Sunrise has done to this point in here as far as the giant robot genre goes, but I really enjoyed all of the characters so I'll probably stick with it. Nobunaga The Fool: They throw a ton of stuff at you from the word go but it's pretty neat. Feels a lot like Escaflowne and I loves me some Escaflowne so I'll probably keep up with this too. Space Dandy: I really have no words to describe this show. I'm not sure if I liked it or not, but I am intrigued. They throw a lot of non-sense at you, but I think there is a main plot point in there somewhere that the whole show will revolve around. Thursday can't get here fast enough though. I want more Silver Spoon damnit!
  4. I can see the outrage. I don't think I've ever seen an anime character's transformation be less slutty. Its like they are breaking some sort of unwritten rule.
  5. Winter looks pretty good. Not a whole lot jumped out at me, but I already knew I'd be watching Space Dandy & Silver Spoons Season 2. Buddy Complex and Nobunaga The Fool sound fun though so I'll probably end up giving those a whirl if I can ever catch up on my huge backlog from this last season.
  6. Looks good and it should be pretty awesome. The Justice League stuff from the New 52 has been pretty good IMO.
  7. I'm with you on this buddy. The episode wasn't all that great, but they at least tried to make Skye somewhat more interesting beside pretty hacker lady. Ward is really the only person I don't like all that much. I liked Scorch a whole lot though. I'll spoil the rest of my post though, cause spoilers.
  8. I wish I came to this part of the board more. I'm totally in if this gets started back up again!
  9. So Samurai Flamenco is pretty awesome.
  10. If it wasn't for nostalgia, Aladdin wouldn't be as good for me, so I totally got where Skummy was coming from. Aladdin does, however, have some wonderful songs in it still. I've been dreading Skummy watching Hercules though. I love it so much and I'm quite sure that Hercules isn't going to be Skum's thing.
  11. Episode 3 was pretty neat. I think a lot of the characters are starting to find their stride, we got a little bit of development for everybody involved and... Major, major, major, major, major spoiler!!!
  12. Also just watched the first episode of Origins. It is pretty damn awesome. I tried to warn you away from Yuusha Ruki!
  13. So, I started watching some of the new stuff that came out this week. Yuusha ni Narenakatta: I liked the premise, but the show is over the top fan servicey, which really ruined the show for me personally. Don't think I'll be keeping up with this one. Kill La Kill: I don't know what the hell I just witnessed, but I think I liked it? The show has this insane pace that crams a lot of stuff into twenty something minutes. I don't know about it saving anime, but it is different. I'll give it that. Coppelion: It's like post-apocalyptic Charlie's Angels. I also really, really liked the art in the show.
  14. It's a rough time to be Mav's fan, that's for sure. They still might be able to sneak into the Playoffs though, but who knows. As far as the West goes, I think Memphis will be a great team to follow this year. Thunder are still great if they can stay healthy. If Houston comes together fast enough, they are going to be really dangerous. I really, really wanna see the Clippers go far this season and with Doc Rivers, I think they can go deep in the Playoffs, but they're still missing a piece I think. I think the East is still firmly in the Heat's hands at this point, but without seeing a lot of the others team in the East (Bulls, Nets, Pacers, etc.), who knows what's gonna happen over there. Basically, I think the East is way more open then the West is.
  15. I've pretty much read that its Gurren Lagan all over again as far as the overarching idea goes. Kid finds awesome thing, challenges authority, etc. Still sounds awesome though.
  16. It airs today actually Ruki. Has anybody watched Coppelion yet out of curiosity? I'm curious if it's worth an attempt to watch it.
  17. Does anybody else have a "6 Episode" rule? Unless the show is offensively bad, I always at least give it six episodes to develop. Characters take time to get attached too, plot lines take time to get going, and most importantly, the creative forces behind the show need time to find what works and what doesn't early on. If the show has interested you at any point, I think you owe it some time to develop before you write it off completely.
  18. I really thought this episode flowed much, much better than the pilot. This was way more of an action based episode, but I liked it much better than the CSI-esque approach that the pilot took. The newbies are shaping up quite nicely too. I'm not overly attached to them yet, but they have all piqued my interest so kudos on that front. Major episode two spoiler!
  19. The show is also based on comics, which pretty much has all of it's main heroes look like pretty people. Very rarely are the good guys fugly.
  20. Yeah, it's a pilot. Your only going to get a brief picture of the people and what's happening around them. The show has twenty one episodes left in the season, I'm sure the characters will be much more fleshed out as time goes on. That being said, a feature length premiere might have gotten more people on board at the start. The CSI feeling is there, no doubt about it, but if your even half way interested in the show, give the pilot a go.
  21. Couldn't agree with you more. It needs some more time to grow I think as some of the character interaction felt a bit forced. Their lucky to have a guy around though who knows how to play his character well at the center. I really liked Skye, Fitz, and Simmons a whole bunch from the new people camp. I enjoyed everybody else at certain points, but I'm sure I'll come to love them as time goes on and then hate Whedon for killing them at a later date. As far as big bads go, I really hope it's HYDRA. I think remnants of AIM would make more sense, but I just like HYDRA a whole lot more. In relation to what TKz said...
  22. It's looking a lot more likely that he's Patriot. I'm super psyched, it's a Marvel TV show from the guy that defined my childhood (at least in terms of television). My biggest concern is that it'll probably flounder in the first 5-6 episodes because Joss likes to do monster of the week stuff a little bit too much sometimes. I'll be shocked if we don't see some film character cameos, even if it ends up just being lesser names. I can see Crossbones making an appearance post-Cap 2. As for the big heroes, depends on how well the show does and how much Marvel/Disney/ABC is willing to shell out. A guy like Chris Evans, Sam Jackson or maybe Chris Hemsworth (he's started getting a fair bit bigger), I can see. Very doubtful we'll see Scarlett Johansson, Rob Downey Jr or anyone on that level of pay. I've started to really hope they go through with recasting Hawkeye, because I'd love so much more for him to be one the show as a frequent guest or something, rather than getting 15 minutes of screen time in the films. I wanted Luke Cage...
