  1. In freakshow news, we have a interesting fight for K1 Dynamite! on New Years Eve. Bob Sapp VS A Japanese Anime Character Yes the guy will be fighting with the mask and costume on.
  2. I'll try with an FAQ. Shouldn't be too hard, I'll try to go over the styles, famous fights, etc. As for the event itself, it was one of the better events of the year. No fight was really born, the preliminary fights were good, and there was some good stuff. I'm happy that Brock won, but I hope Randy doesn't retire.
  3. *Welterweight Championship Bout: Georges St. Pierre © vs. Jon Fitch: TKO, Round 4 Brock Lesnar vs. Heath Herring: Unanimous Decision Kenny Florian vs. Roger Huerta: Submission, Round 2 Rob Emerson vs. Manny Gamburyan: Submission, Round One Jason MacDonald vs. Demian Maia: Submission, Round One PRELIMINARY CARD Luke Cummo vs. Tamdan McCrory: Decision Dan Evensen vs. Cheick Kongo: KO, Round Two Joe Jones vs. Andre Gusmao: TKO, Round One Steve Bruno vs. Chris Wilson: Decision Ryan Thomas vs. Ben Saunders: Decision
  4. Damn, you got GSP/Penn, Mir/Nog, and Wanderlei potentially fighting on the card and you got one great card. Good point, I have yet to get my hands on a copy of Choke, the documentary about Rickson Gracie preparing for the Japan Vale Tudo Championship. The Smashing Machine was just so damn interesting to watch because it catches Kerr right as he is about to fall from grace. It's pretty hard to watch Kerr today because he grappling skills were pretty damn good. Just a question about Japan MMA, but who owns the video library for Rings? Did PRIDE buy them out because there are some great fights from Nog, Dan, Fedor, and others.
  5. This is a documentary about PRIDE that was produced exclusively in Japan. I just finished it and it ranks up there with the Smashing Machine as the best MMA documentary out there. (In order) Rickson vs Takada Sakuraba vs The Gracies PRIDE 2000 Openweight Grand Prix OWGP Finals New Fighters Find Home In Pride Memorable Bouts, KOs, Submissions, and Epic Bouts Champions Are Crowned Pt.1: Sakuraba vs Silva Champions Are Crowned Pt.2: Herring vs Nog Fedor More of Fedor, rematch with Nog. Wanderlei Silva PRIDE 2003 MWGP Part One PRIDE 2003 MWGP Semi-Finals and Final Rampage vs Silva Rivalry Silva vs Henderson 2, Gomi, Shogun, PRIDE goes to America UFC Buys PRIDE Credits Thanking Everybody Who Fought Enjoy.
  6. Didn't know if HDNet fights was airing the event, so thus the spoilers. As for fighter who probably wouldn't fight in the UFC because of Dana, Josh Barnett is the biggest one. Barnett because he was stripped of the title and released after a positive steriod test. Barnett is interested in coming back but Dana will have none of that.
  7. Spoiler: Click here to view Ikuhisa Minowa defeats Bum Chan Kang via submission (kneebar) Hayato “Mach” Sakurai defeats Hidetaka Monma via technical knockout (strikes) Joachim Hansen defeats Kotetsu Boku via unanimous decision Luiz Firmino defeats Kazuyuki Miyata via submission (rear naked choke) Katsuhiko Nagata defeats Artur Oumakhanov via unanimous decision Mitsuhiro Ishida defeats Bu Kyung Jung via unanimous decision Mirko Filipovic defeats Tatsuya Mizuno via technical knockout (strikes) Eddie Alvarez defeats Andre “Dida” Amade via technical knockout (strikes) Tatsuya Kawajiri defeats Kultar “Black Mamba” Gill via unanimous decision Gesias Calvancante vs. Shinya Aoki ruled a no contest JZ/Aoki ruled a NC after JZ accidently hit Aoki in the neck a few times. In May, the last twelve PRIDE events will be released, starting with Shockwave 2006. For those who don't remember, the event has Fedor/Hunt and Barnett/Nogueria II.
  8. Cage Rage 25 Results Spoiler: Click here to view 1 John Phillips defeats Jake Bostwick: TKO (Strikes) 2 John Hathaway deafeats Marvin Arnold: TKO (Strikes) 3 Giorgio Andrews defeats Ryan Shamrock TKO (Doctor Stoppage - Broken Hand) 4 Aisling Daly defeats Aysen Berik: TKO (Strikes) 5 Henrique Santana defeats Michael Johnson: Decision (Unanimous) 6 Ivan Serati defeats Roman Webber TKO (Strikes) 7 Mustapha al Turk defeats Gary Turner Submission (Strikes) 8 Tom Watson defeats Pierre Guillet TKO (Strikes) 9 Rob Broughton defeats Neil Grove Decision (Majority) 10 Masakazu Imanari defeats Jean Silva Submission (Heel Hook) 11 Robert "Buzz" Berry defeats Ken Shamrock KO Apparently Shamrock tried to stand and not take Berry to the ground at all, and pretty much got KTFO'd. Since Kimbo/Shamrock is off, who should Kimbo face at the first Elite:XC CBS event? I'd love to see somebody like Mark Hunt or Rizzo step up and fight him. Knowing Elite:XC, they're probably throw Ricco or Cabbage at him. EDIT: Event will air on Showtime after SHOWTIME Boxing if anybody is interested.
  9. MMA News: WORLD VICTORY ROAD “SENGOKU” Results: Spoiler: Click here to view Josh Barnett def. Hidehiko Yoshida via Tapout (Heel Hook) Rd 3. Takanori Gomi def. Duane “Bang” Ludwig via TKO (Doctor Stoppage – Cut) Rd 1. Kazuo Misaki def. Siyar Bahadurzada via Tapout (Guillotine Choke) Rd 2. Kazuyuki Fujita def. Peter Graham via Tapout (North-South Choke) R1. Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos def. Makoto Takimoto via Tapout (Heel Hook) Rd 1. Ryo Kawamura def. Antonio Braga Neto via Unanimous Decision. Nick Thompson def. Fabricio Monteiro via Unanimous Decision. Source: Five Ounces of Pain - The always controversial Tito Ortiz will be apart of "Anytown Throwdown" for the G4 network. It's apparently a show in which Ortiz trains people who want to settle their differences in the cage. Ortiz will train them to fight, and the show will go all over the US. Source: MMAjunkie -Kevin Randleman has sign a contract with World Victory Road and will be fighting on May 18th. Randleman is then slated to headline a Global Fighting Championship show against Jeff Monson. Pretty impressive considering that Randleman had a brutal staff infection that could've killed him if he didn't get treatment. Source: MMA Mania -The June 1st show for WEC just got bigger, as two titles will be defended. Paulo Fihlo will defend his WEC Middlewight Championship against Chael Sonnen, originally scheduled for March. Fihlo claimed that he suffured from depression when the match was made, and would not be up for training for the fight. Fihlo and Sonnen met in a controversial bout that saw Fihlo defeat Sonnen with an armbar after the ref thought that Sonnen had verbally submitted. The event will be most likely headlined by a 145-pound title fight between Urijah Faber and Jens Pulver. Source: MMA Mania -The first YAMMA Pit Fighting show will take place on April 11th at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, N.J. The event will occur on April 11th and willbe aired on PPV at 10:00 and cost $34.95. The event will have an eight-man Heavyweight tournament and two "Masters Superfights" between Don Frye/Oleg Taktarov and Gary Goodridge/Eric "Butterbean" Esch. The company is owned by Bob Meyrowitz, the man who created the UFC. Source: MMAjunkie If you can ever find it at a good price, I strongly recommend that any MMA fan pick up the Bas Rutten career DVD. Three discs of his Pancrase fights with highlights of his UFC fights, and the commentary by Bas is excellent. It sucks that most new MMA fans never got to see Bas fight in his prime.

  11. Some more stuff I got from my friends in Chicago. I talked to them and they were clearing some things up for me. They were only willing to tell me a few things, and that was all. Nothing more on The Joker, or a trial scene. Dent's Scarring Spoiler: Click here to viewIt will apparently be the same way he was scarred in The Long Halloween by Sal Moroni (Eric Roberts). They will use the antacid (sp?) bottle as they did in The Long Halloween. AMH's role Spoiler: Click here to viewAll that we know is two things: Hall stated in an interview that he will be playing a good guy. The second thing is that Hall is rumored to have a good chunk of his scenes with Lucious Fox. If anything, he will be Batman's new tech guy, and Freeman probably won't be in the third. Somebody did spot some clothing with the "Edward Nygma" as a label. The Dance scene Spoiler: Click here to viewIt is a homage to the original film, and Dawes struggles to get away. It's a really physical scene, with the Joker pulling her back in. Apparently, it's a really creepy scene in the movie.
